Recommend your mortgage broker

Does anyone have recommendations for a good mortgage broker? We are first time homebuyers and have no idea where to start.

Jocelyn Lasher at MVB mortgage. I'm in escrow and a first time buyer. I had so many questions and was so stressed. She's been very responsive, extremely patient, and very upfront about my particular needs, profile, etc.

+1 on first homes, they will give you great personalized service and are large enough to have their own underwriters in house.

Joe DiSalvo at Continental Mortgage is incredible. We have worked with him for two mortgages, two refis, and are now working with him for a new purchase.

Really understands the entire real estate transaction, from start to finish and can advise you of all options and ideas without a stake in that part of the game. jdisalvo@cmicloan.com 703-522-2200

If you all are recommending brokers can you say if you received the best interest rates? I've been extremely unhappy at the rates quoted by brokers vs. Quicken. I have used Quicken in the past and yes it was a pain, but the interest rates were soooo much better than it made the hassle worth it.

I have 785 credit and was just quoted 4.75 yesterday with 20% down.
