How exactly do you get rejected for sex?

I'm doing research for a project. Can you tell me exactly how it happens? How do you initiate sex, and then what happens when it's a no. How do they say no, do they push you away, or say no, or give an excuse? And how does it make you feel? I know it's painful, so thank you for sharing. I am interested in experiences from both men and women.

I had a boyfriend who was often not in the mood. He would say he was too tired or didn't feel well if I tried to initiate, and he rarely initiated himself. I decided based on that and some other stuff (he was overweight, sedentary, found small things overwhelming) that he was depressed and since we hadn't been dating long and he seemed uninterested in changing things, I dumped him, but stayed in touch as friends.

He was diagnosed shortly thereafter with a tumor the size of a football. It was removed and he was like a different person. I was glad he finally figured out what the hell was wrong, but obviously it was too late by then.

Easy. If you like them, say you aren't in the mood. If you don't like them, tell them they are paunchy, skinny-legged men who remind you of your grandfather. Better go somewhere else for your "research."

I have sex with a woman I've known for years. I banged her good for a few hours recently then called her a dumbass and held up the peace sign as I walked away. I'm an asshole, yes. However, she keeps coming back despite my rejections after sex. I should feel guilt about treating her badly but I don't because she has some of the best snatch I have ever found.

I know your joking but I have male acquaintances who have treated girls like absolute shit, and yet these girls are on the doorstep the second the guy texts saying he wants a hook up. And these girls are in their mid 20s. Makes me so sad.
