Psh. Princess Anne has always had higher numbers as well and does not appear to be an absentee parent. Same for the Wessexes. Besides that the absence of royal work is not the presence of time with their children. All three of their kids are in school for the majority of the day and they Cambridges don’t even do the school run every day. It’s not like they’re at home putting in a load of laundry either. It’s very mysterious. |
Pass. Doesn’t sound like there’s really anything new in it. Just the same old rehash about how Meghan didn’t fit in because she was too American or a striver or whatever. I’m not even convinced she has real sources considering she didn’t know they were coming to visit just like everyone else. |
Omg I’m dying!

Hahahaha that can't be a real quote. |
+1. It just sounds like nonsense and I wouldn't dream of wasting my money on this or giving it a second thought. |
I mean the antebellum Scarlett O'Hara portrait Kate chose for her 40th birthday, not to mention the colonial tour jeep ride should have been nails on the head for this. Their 'mistakes' in regards to race have gone on as long as they've been married and prior to that too. *cough* Slave portrait for welcoming Obama as a guest *end cough*

This is just too funny not to share.

Not at all. They’re both incredibly lazy. No mystery at all. |
So lazy the audacity is just incredible. Today was the annual National Parade of Queen's Scouts at Windsor Castle. A royal has been present to take the salute for ten years straight. No one shows up. Guess who the President of the Scouts is? Kate. |
It probably used to be the Queen who showed up? Yes, Kate is astonishingly lazy. She did the same thing with the Irish Guards - it was one of the first jobs she was given and she showed up once and then said not to expect that again. |
DP. It's a real quote from the WaPo article. It's their characterization of what Brown wrote, and it's probably pretty spot on. It sounds like Brown. |
Ha! I don’t know anything about this Tina Brown person, but if that characterization is accurate, I might check out the book. |
Seriously, she’s a great read. I haven’t read the Palace Papers yet, but I recommended the Diana Chronicles upthread. She’s even handed and sorts through the gossip that’s given to her, then gives her read on what it means based on who it is. |
That said, she's an unreliable narrator and extremely biased against the Sussexes. |
