Seems like you just don't get it. The GA is the lesser league, less teams, less talent. They might have some talent at young ages but as they get to high school ages most top players who have aspirations of playing College/Pro/National pool move to (or currently play on) the ECNL. With the current changes in College recruiting scouts will now be reducing their watch lists due to the roster cap and relying trusted sources and club director recommendations. Since 75% plus D1 commits come from the ECNL their players to watch will be from this platform and not the ga. If your daughter is interested in playing more for fun then moving to intermural leagues after high school then the ga is the league for you.

Do you just cut and past the same thing over and over again. No one denies your stats but moving forward, its being shown now that it will shift the other way. And guess what, when it moves to the next hot league, something new will pop up. But guess what? Those same colleges will be there and they will shift target to next hot thing as well. Where did the recruit before ECNL was even a thought and before that and before that? Colleges will always adjust recruiting based on the league changes.

I dont think you've accepted that times are changing and there's both high and low teams/clubs in both leagues.

Great point, but when top clubs like SLSG are forced to move to GA because their boys moved to MLSN, the scales will start tipping to ga and that’s the platform coaches will recruit from. Watching this closely…

If your child is good, it’s not going to matter. You can’t just write off 20% of D1 players from GA committing now matter how much you might hate.

Again, I don’t see anyone here claiming GA is the better league. At the same time, while there has been a very very small change this year, nobody should be acting like GA is suddenly going to take over the top spot from ECNL either. My goodness, it was just few years ago that the DA folded and is also the only reason why ECNL is what it is now. Things change, often.

Accurate. More reason why kids should chase coaching/club/fit vs badge, especially for non recruiting year age players. Landscape changes year to year. The switch from BY to SY change won’t be the only change next year.

Agreed. Badge does not = Good coaching. There is a reason certain teams have more outsiders coming in vs. insiders holding position.
