People don’t want to face the reality that they get donations from the US and Israel and without their support, they wouldn’t be there. It was not Egypt that propped them up. The ancient Jewish state of Israel never lasted more than 75-80 years historically. Netanyahu may be their last PM for real with the mistakes he’s making. I don’t wish this to happen but I wouldn’t be surprised. People are already fleeing Israel in droves and refusing the draft. It seems like Israel is disintegrating under him. He’s that BAD but Israel’s like spellbound by Bibi. An Iran war would be a horrible move and the only way the US would have the appetite for war is if something happens here. A major terrorist attack but even then I don’t think the conspiracy happy Gen Z’ers would believe the attack as 100% Iranian. |

The Cold War policy of the US was to support the right wing Islamists over moderates and leftists with tons of cash and US weapons because moderates and leftists were socialist and thought to lean toward Russia. For Israel, a million Jews lived in the Middle East in 1948 and you can’t really get them out and force them to move to Israel unless there’s a hard right Islamist radicalism groundswell that’s funded. The US and Israel mashed their genius brain trust together and helped give us lovelies like the Taliban who the US are now fighting and the Iranian ayatollahs who Israel are now fighting. Let’s cut to the chase: why TF do Americans need to involve ourselves in Israel’s conflicts?
Do Irish Americans, who account for a hell of a higher percentage of the U.S. population than < .02, force us to get involved in Ireland’s issues? No. Do Mexican Americans, who also account for a hell of a higher percentage of the U.S. population than < .02, force us to get involved in Mexico’s issues? No. Do Italian Americans, who also account for a hell of a higher percentage of the U.S. population than < .02, force us to get involved in Italy’s issues? No. Do Chinese Americans, who account for a hell of a higher percentage of the U.S. population than < .02, force us to get involved in China’s issues? No. Do African Americans, who also account for a hell of a higher percentage of the U.S. population than < .02, force us to get involved in Nigeria’s or Kenya’s or Tanzania’s issues? No. No. No. England? No. Germany? No. France? No. Spain? No. India? No. Brazil? No. Egypt? No. Australia? No. Again, why TF are we even involved? The geopolitical arguments have no merit, so save it. Israel is a net negative on that front, and it’s not even close. The morality arguments have no merit, so save it.
