First of all, the SC has not yet actually released an opinion in Dobbs. Even though it seems certain how they will rule, I don’t see how Dems can take action regarding the ruling until there is one. Secondly, I think some of the above expectations are unrealistic and talking down Dems is not at all helpful.

Because as much as I wish the Democrats were doing more, the fact is that the GOP always goose steps forward because they move as one.

So then what is the problem? Weak leadership? Does not the upcoming ruling not rise to enough of a threat to democracy and women’s rights to not relentlessly pursue every solution available? Because to most of us it does warrant a five alarm type of response. Why are they sitting on their hands and doing nothing? Why?

I’m the PP to whom you’re replying and it’s got to be related to the flakiness of many a Democratic voter. Sending cryptic and useless (and ultimately incredibly damaging) “messages” a la 2000 and 2016. Think of how many people you knew or read who said “both parties are the same” and “the Democrats aren’t liberal enough for me, so I’m going to vote Green.” Guess what, genius bar voters: that makes the Democratic Party less liberal.

Meanwhile, GOP voters are like a pack of rabid pit bulls in search of their prey: mindless, blood-thirsty beasts that move in unison toward their goal of mauling more victims. That’s how they vote. They don’t “get disappointed” and quit voting. They don’t “send a message” to their party. They vote, straight R. They’re willing to commit felonies and vote in flagrant contempt of everything America stands for.

So women are forced to have their lives destroyed because the Dems won’t go to the mat? And then Ds expect to be rewarded in November? This is a problem of now.

What are d's supposed to do that they aren't doing?

Have lots of votes. Make Republicans vote against birth control. Make Republicans vote against treatment for ectopic pregnancies. Make them go on the record over and over again with their hatred of women.
