What's the joke? Where is the funny in this statement. Wouldn't a family that grew up around soccer proably work in soccer? Over at Fairfax Union you have Gene Misalow and his son Tyler (who he coached for years) are the lead, Quan's (who runs vda, hp elite, and pwsi) father ran BRYC for years(who he and all of family played for). Ken Krieger and coached Ali for years. Northern Virginia is run by soccer families, it just shows that you don't have much knowledge on the subject
gene and tyler are shit coaches. (Go look at FVU boys) Quans influence has wained and HP Elite is a joke now. Ken and Ali sub par. So i would stay away from soccer families

You already posted this same rant earlier. Memory issues?

Someone has come along and stole my rant from earlier and reposted it. Not cool man. Oh and Ken Krieger is dead, so calling the dead "sub par" is really just a thing a sub par human would do
. Lol. Sure brah. He was sub par coach. His only highlight was Ali playing.

Still speaking ill of the dead huh. Won like 5 state cups in the virginia coaching hall of fame. But sure "he was a sub par brah" listen we get it, you are an idiot

HS soccer is the pinnacle of the game.. lol idiot.. he lucked out in a region that has strong recruits. (Think soccer stereotypes) i could coach osburn or forrest park to winning records and champs.

2014's. 3 teams 3 coaches named.
Okay, who were the coaches?
1st Team - Israel aka Stevie, aka “trust the process” of passing drills, scrimmaging, and playing in fear of making mistakes to the point of preferring to sit the bench or simply skipping games and events.

2nd Team - Cory Fick aka Girls Director responsible for hiring both Israel and Chris The division is such a mess he had to assign himself the 2nd team unless he’s simply a placeholder til he finds another coach. Only time will tell since he certainly wouldn’t tell a parent the truth. If the philosophy is, blow up the 14G division by driving the best players to Loudoun, VDA, or Revolution and then start over by promoting the 2nd team to the 1st, than Bravo Zulu. Selling the clout of the 1st team to parents on the current 2nd team should work. Hopefully there are enough new naive families coming in willing to accept playing on the second team since you know there’s no way in hell they’ll accept an offer from the 3rd team.

3rd Chris Rivera (same parent coach as now) If your a current player on the 3rd team and your fortunate enough that your dd still wants to play soccer another year, don’t worry, there should be plenty opportunities to move to the second team If not, then make sure your dd’s appt with her psychiatrist is right after training otherwise, simply go somewhere else. For the grace of the players and families, hopefully there isn’t a 3rd team next year.

Again, Bravo Zulu Valor. VDA here we come.
Thanks for the summary. Good luck at VSA. Have they sent out offers yet? Do they have any idea they are losing players. For the sake of discussion would the 2nd team be a terrible place for a middle of the pack player? If there is no 3rd team wouldn't CR move up to 2 if Cory is placeholder?
Just be cautious to committing w/no coach and the possibility of a default promotion. There's plenty of info on this thread on the 14G division from the Fall and early Spring. The result of Cory's efforts to hire a coach have not yet succeeded but as parents we have to assume he doesn't believe CR is the best fit for 2nd team or he would have already made the decision. For those who stay to play on 2nd it is not likely to be for the coaching. How can it be when you don't know who it will be? If they move him by default they likely didn't have enough to field a 3rd team therefore the default promotion.
Does this mean Cory for sure is a placeholder? If he was the coach is that good or bad?
No one knows anything for sure. All rumors until Valor actually posts info.
Fair enough. I'm sure there's a golden ticket out there by now, who is listed as the coach on the offer letter.
Our offer email last year just listed the team.
Not the coach.
Yeah same but they didn't have a coach for that team and didn't hire one until August.
Trust the process, but your kid is dumb and sucks because they cant adapt to fulfill the process. Also, we are passing because they suck, I want to do more advanced stuff but they aren’t good enough. It is all the prior coaches fault that your kid sucks at soccer even though I’ve had a year to coach them. Turning over the team because these 10 year olds are a lost cause, make dumb decisions and suck at futbol. That has been the messaging for quite some time. Buyer be warned.
But the previous coaches (Craig, Eric, and Karen) were Valor staples to the U9/U10 division.

That is not what the argument is about. Karen's are constantly on here complaining. And someone stated that soccer families are all over northern virginia. Then you started saying wild stuff like quan is over rated and Ken krieger was a bad coach.

well its true that quan is overrated. You obviously havent been around as long as I have. and i said ken was sub par. He was in prince william county which is loaded with talent that cant afford club. Those teams are always the good HS soccer teams.

What does this have to do with valor?
nothing other than dummys making comparisons of what makes a good coach. So many licensed crap coaches in this area. Or coaches who are in talent rich areas fail when move to teams were they actually have to develop and coach.

What a bitter post. Did Valor hold your child back from being the star on the top team you just know she should be? Chris has been a great coach and I'd be happy to have him again next year. If my dd is moved up I hope he gets moved up too. He's definitely done a better job than the other two "professional" coaches I have experience with on the girls and boys side so far. His daughter being on the team has never been a problem at all. This isn't a "dad ball" or rec league situation. His kid is really good. If anything, I'm more worried she'll be moved up and he won't, and then he decides not to coach anymore.

Glad to see you go though. Sounds like you weren't a fun parent to be around anyway. No one likes to talk to people who just complain all the time.

Who were the two "professional" valor coaches who were bad? Initials are fine.
