If if you don't think that's what's happening by the scenes and you really don't know politics. They're certainly not going to answer dirty laundry out in public that we Republicans did with Madison Cawthorne. All that does is show division in infighting and believe me there's enough that already going around in the Democratic caucus. |
And don’t forget, they’re arming teenagers with assault weapons while they’re at it. I mean. It’s as scary as it sounds. Stop sitting on your hands Dems. This country is fundamentally at risk. |

“Like abortion foes who wave photos of bloody fetuses outside clinics (fetuses that could not survive outside a woman’s uterus), we who oppose the annihilation of our bodily autonomy ought to plaster statehouses with photos of our episiotomy incisions, our Caesarean scars, our intravenous-line hematomas, our bloody postnatal sanitary pads and bloodstained bedsheets, our cracked nipples and infected breasts.
Or maybe we should erect billboards featuring women who have died in childbirth — two or more every day in the United States — especially those whose deaths left their existing children motherless. Perhaps we could stop these brutal laws by playing films of women in labor on loop in judges’ courtrooms, sound full on, the agonies of laboring women loudly audible, not reduced to 30 seconds of soft-focus grimacing, as in the movies.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/05/31/antiabortion-laws-are-forced-birth-laws/?fbclid=IwAR0sQltn2FzJiBpIv38Dobrc8Bxl537V4oFcub5eqXTu02TkKNRZeceYf18 |
I agree with this but ugh, I don’t enjoy remembering my pregnancies, labors and deliveries and the recoveries. Ouch ouch ouch… |
| So many people don't know the realities of pregnancy and giving birth and are very surprised by the aftermath of it. I do think it's something that is a society we need to talk about in normalize more because I think men think it's like on TV where the woman's cooking looking like a basket ball is in her shirt, the man drives her to the hospital. They have a baby and she walks out 110 lb and goes home and takes care 4 kids no problem. |
+1 Man up, Schumer and Pelosi. |
| Meanwhile there are 36 law clerks at SCOTUS being asked to disclose their phone and email records. Hope this person who released the draft opinion gets disbarred and serves time in jail. |
What about the spouses of the Justices? At least one is an active right-wing political operative. |
Not for the first time in this thread: what crime did the leaker commit? |
Don’t you know? Anything and everything is a crime if it’s convenient for right wing fascists. |
(See e.g. the draft opinion in Dobbs) |
So run for something. If you know everything and you see a clear way forward, take care of it. Because as much as I wish the Democrats were doing more, the fact is that the GOP always goose steps forward because they move as one. |
That’s the problem. Voters shouldn’t feel like they need to do it themselves. Your defensiveness is a bad look. |
Uhh… this is exactly what we do want - passionate, intelligent, involved and interested voters. Are you mental? I guess you’re a Republican pretending (poorly) to be a Democrat, i.e., an agent of chaos and despair. The GOP’s fascism is becoming apparent to more and more voters. I remember that this is how it felt in summer 2020, with Republicans playacting as Democrats and trying to gaslight people just as you’re doing now, but we can see that the GOP’s end goal is a christofascist state in which women are enslaved, Black people will become enslaved and forced to work again (it’s in the Constitution, therefore Alito’s and the other right wing freaks are on board!) and gun violence is every and an omnipresent threat in everyone’s lives. People do not want this march toward stupidity. |
