| WTF is the point of these? Am I supposed to let these cars have the right of way or something special? I don't think people will drive better or worse knowing that your kid is in the car. And then people go crazy with the "Princess on board" and "Precious Angel on board" stickers. I just noticed a ton today. Do you have one? why? |
|
Lame. For people who think they are the first person to give birth.
New flash! We don't care who or what you have on board. |
| Those have been around since the 80s...they are stupid |
| This thread is like a message in a bottle that washed up on the beach after being thrown in the ocean in 1985. |
Not really, because inexplicably these stupid things are still around. - not OP |
Asking what's the point? I thought it was established a long time ago that there was no point and that the people who used them (and are still using them) are morons. |
| I have no idea why people still have these. Maybe their old parents gave them to them. I don't treat them any differently on the road, except for thinking they are assholes. Them and the stick people on cars representing how many kids they have. |
|
I have no idea, I remember asking my mom the same thing back in 1985.
Now my question....what is the reason for the stick figure family strikers? |
To let people know that you are an asshole lemming. |
| There are very few car stickers that I consider worthwhile. In fact, none come to me as I think of it. I think my opinion of anyone takes a downturn if I see a sticker on their car. Why do people in other cars need to know anything about you? |
| Trashy. |
| To make you more understanding as they hold up traffic driving cautiously. |
| They are a thoughtful innovation! Clever to let other drivers know you have a baby on board so they can adjust their driving to be more careful! |
|
The only reason I would put a Baby on Board sticker on is so that when I drive slowly or super carefully, other drivers know WHY...I've got a baby in the car.
I wouldn't expect other drivers to give me "right of way" just because I have that sticker or treat me in a certain way. It's more of a "Hey guys! Sorry I'm driving so slowly/carefully...here's why" type of thing. |
| Agree they're lame but wasn't the original intent to let emergency responders know in case of an accident where the car is messed Jo or if a child is thrown from the car? That's what I (kind of) remember. |
