"Baby on board" stickers

- let drivers around know there's a child so they supposedly watch for their surroundings when passing a stopped car with this sticker on - runner 2yos anyone?

- remind others to look inside when they walk by a stopped car with this sticker and call 911 in case someone forgot the baby inside

- avoid jerks who park 2 inches from our door impeding us to fully open our doors to buckle our child properly in their seat. Haven't you seen handicapped cars with such stickers begging people to keep 3 feet from their doors to allow wheelchair by the door???

Seriously DCUM? I thought you're smarter than that.

yes, in theory, but do you honestly think anyone really thngs of any of this when they see you're lame baby on baord sticker. and do you remove it when the baby isn't on board?

Signed, a First Responder

Does it really change how you respond to a situation? What about people who leave these on their car all the time/even when the child is not in the car?

Let's be honest, they are lame and no one thinks twice about them, well other htan to thing the drivers are morons.

+1. I look at these and thing, so, you deserve special treatment because you decided to have children?? I also had that little glowy "slow down" man that people put in front of their houses. I'm going to observe the speed limit without or without your sign. If you want the speed limit to be lower than it is, move to a different street!

Good point lol. I got one of those "BOB" signs for free from BuyBuyBaby in the doggie bag that they give you for creating a registry. Maybe I'll put it to use after all.

No you are probably not. We are on a street with a 25mph speed limit, but people routinely go 40pmh+ and I am talking about a side street, not a street with 4 lanes and a yellow line. We also have a lot of small children on our street. Not asking that people drive below the speed limit, but I do ask that they at least obey the posted speed limit and think twice about going 40mph down our street.

The worst speeder in our neighborhood is a mini van mom with 5 kids.

Lol. my husband wanted to put them on our cars. i was surprised at how paranoid he became when our son was born. i just kept silent and hoped he'd forget -- he did. Thank goodness.

I think a minivan signals even more effectively the presence of children.

LOL yeah, those stickers make people park farther from your car so there's room to get the seat out. Ha!

They dont make. But people seeing the sticker should get a clue. My car is old so I don't mind giving jerks a bang on their door when they park too close to my car and I can't get my children in.

I took several first aid and CPR classes and all instructors always reminded us to check the surroundings of the car for ejected children when the BoB sign is on the car

A carseat wouldn't be an indicator?

When you're approaching the scene what so you see first? The inside or the outside of the car?

But the point is that the sign is not attached to the physical child. So when you are driving to Whole foods after dropping the baby off with grandma, and you get into an accident the sign is still there. So they are searching for the baby that isn't actually "on board"... therefore it is dumb.

Fat minivan moms are the worst speeding offenders.
