Don’t read everything as the truth. Many on this forum are posting untruths intentionally just because - or posting to keep their own DDs tenuous roster spot safe by scaring people away from interest in particular clubs. Then there are the hard up/insecure bully parents who feel the need to put down someone else’s teenage daughter in order to feel better about their own. Leaves you feeling sorry for their DD |

Not so sure about this. There are far worse answers on this forum. I don't remember the last time a DC Club produced a "top tier" goalie. PP wasn't clear on the definition of top tier, but speculating they meant among the best in their class. Has that happened in HS in this area? DC area has definitely produced top tier players at other positions in recent classes. |
You talking about HS ranking or actual substance? Goalie is the hardest position to get right and so much is flash and style over substance and of course, competition varies so stats out the window. I mean the 2026 from STAB is a five star, played for Capital. JMU goalie Beattie is very good as well. |
Are you saying it should be common practice to call cuts instead of email for middle school club lacrosse players, or it lacks general decency? Is this policy adhered to even the majority of the time? |
It’s the worst answer ever because the question was what clubs did the blue and orange goalies come from. Instead we got boring exposition and opinion! |
Lets play a game. 50, 63, 40 ,32 |
| Are these rankings? |
Yes. Goalie from CHS goes to Episcopal so it all checks out. |

How new is the new coach? If completely new, just wondering how he/she even evaluates the quality of the existing goalies or potential incoming goalies from other clubs except by reputation. The remaining other coaches may have identified a potential opportunity though and would be familiar.
If the BLC goalie is going, where did the incoming Cap goalies come from? Maybe this or the HG goalie can slide over to Coppermine. Unfortunate to be a part of the pre-HS shuffling no doubt—I feel for these girls who may have been on these teams and with these clubs long-term (in any position)—but good news is goalies can have strong recruiting results from outside of the very, very top clubs. There’s a former Hero’s 2028 goalie who relocated to a small local club (FCA possibly) who is going to test that. What a cut throat and stressful time for the girls. Their recruiting year can be as unforgiving. Hope everyone is resilient and hangs in there. |

What is the calculation for goalies going into H.S.? Coaches want 2 equally strong ones ideally because you transition to equal playing time? Is 1 strong one preferred over a mismatch in goalie skill and ability between 2? Is 1 strong and one weaker backup acceptable? Apparently not with these big shakeups.
If you look at 2027, one MnD is going Loyola and one Mt St Mary’s. That means there was at least a perceived difference in skill or ability. HG 2027 just had one goalie. Going to JMU. Cap Blue had 2, 1 to Davidson and other to Fairfield. Similar results. Skywalkers Blue has just 1 goalie, going to VaTech. |
| Most want 2 that are relatively equal but not always possible. The need for 2 is more about injury potential and having a back up than anything. |
How about $$$? |
SW Blue has 2, the other likely academic D3. They had a few HG offers to a 2nd goalie but no one wanted to take it |
