Goalie being cut by HG has no idea - even though much of the rest of my HG team knows. I heard that cut MnD goalie is dropping down to red. She’s good so that’s a big pickup for them. Red is cutting two goalies from what those parents were saying last weekend.

Any goalie cut from HG or M&D Black should explore other local options, Coppermine, MDU, SW etc.

Going to Red or HW is a recruiting death sentence in some ways.

Heck, goalie you can play for any club in country, find one that has a need.

This is not new. All of these top teams jockey to get the best possible roster they can going into HS and parents/players are doing everything they can to move to these teams, if they believe their daughter is good enough. Circle of life for better or worse.

This is not true. The M&D Goalie was told in person by coaches giving her enough time to explore other options or to try to go to M&D Red. Given the fact that M&D has a history of cutting girls after MidAtlantic and after all other clubs' tryouts are completed the new coach at M&D at least had the decency to give her a heads up. That was not done in previous years.

The Coppermine goalie being cut is not the long-time goalie. The last time they had 2, 1 of them reclassed to 2031. The good one is the one going to HG.

Who are the Capital Blue and Orange goalies?

Both goalies are decent but not great. Lots of surprises on both rosters.

There's four total.

Orange vs Blue selections were a surprise. They all have the potential to be great goalies and rosters could be different after first year. Curious to see if Capital puts in the work to make them great.

So much news going around. Hard to tell what's real and what's not.

They came from programs that don't have a history of developing goalies. The DC area rarely produces top tier goalies because the clubs don't invest in developing them. Hopefully that changes with Capital.

Pretty widely known the HG coaches don't do communication unless it's fear based.

Goalies, like draw specialists and face offs, do their own training on their own time. HS Club is not about development. It’s about showcasing opportunities.

Is that why the Baltimore clubs provide goalie training for their goalies? They may not provide it at every practice, but they ensure someone available to provide training to the club.

M&D has a well known goalie coach, MDU does as well. Heroes has goaliesmith provide training for their club. Coppermine also has goalie coaches. All of their team websites adverstise goalie coaches. Your information is not correct.

That could be the worst answer on DCUM ever

This is definitely wrong. Goalie’s parents spoke about this with others this weekend in NJ. They were notified by email by the “new” head coach, who has never had a conversation with either of them (Kinda says a lot given that the season is over and they’ve never spoken in person).

After being outraged at the lack of general decency with getting notice by email, two of the other coaches got involved and spent a great deal of time doing what should have been done from the start. Basically cleaning up the mess.

Not sure where you “learned” otherwise, but don’t be so quick to always buy the story being sold. You want to hear the truth? Just talk to her parents. It’s not a secret at all and they’re easily approachable.

She will be just fine. Probably better to get away from the toxic environment that has girls wrapping their self worth up in whether they play for Black and whether they get any playing time and if so is it less than their friend’s. Life is about so much more than being on Black or HG or any team. There’s parents on this forum talking about recruiting death sentences 😆😆😆
