What are you giving up for Lent?

Practicing Christians, please share.

I'm definitley doing sugar and complaining.
Considering adding meat, alcohol, nagging and Facebook.

I am going vegetarian and also abstaining from any alcohol.

I was thinking about fasting on all Fridays. To prep for a 5/2 diet. But, I thought that might be wrong to use fridays that way. I usually give up TV and chocolate.

I'm thinking of reducing internet time (I have to be honest; I know I won't give it up).

Not really giving up but trying to be more patient and less " yell-y " with my kids.

Chocolate. Again.

I don't really understand this. Does this mean you go back to complaining and nagging after Lent?

Alcohol and DCUM. Totally successful in 2012, only made it partway through 2013 on both counts.

DCUM. I did it in 2012 too, PP! and it got easier as the days went by.

I am sick and addicted.

+1, but I am having some issues with a DC and I'm actually finding a lot of help in one of the forums.

I think I am going to fast big-time, but I want to lose weight, so that's not really giving up anything. I get grouchy when I'm hungry, so being positive while still hungry. I'm going to try and be more positive all-around and not be so negative which is my current normal mode.

Also, make more of an effort to get the kids off their screens with crafts, hikes, whatever.
