generally drastic diets are a bad idea for your health. but probably only slightly worse than usual in this situation.
your milk supply will probably drop, but it may be dropping already if baby is already eating quite a lot of solids. be prepared to supplement with formula as necessary. |

instead of trying to lose 10 pounds if it is for a vacation/bikini etc. invest in a good workout DVD. try say P90X, beachbody, the shred.
you need to still eat well, but not drastic. in a couple weeks you can really tone, see a difference and not just drop a few pounds. be careful restricting too much, think about your baby. he/she still needs you. |

Start juicing. It helps lose weight rapidly while getting all the wondrful nutrients from fresh produce. I juiced throughout my pregnancy and while nursing. I had more supply than I could handle and both my kids are very healthy and amazing eaters.

| Forget the baby. Losing ten pounds in two weeks or less is a dumb idea. Yo-yo dieting is unhealthy. It will probably tank your supply, too, so you better be willing to wean. |

OP here -
I am approx 40 lbs overweight, so even if I lost 10 lbs I still have plenty of extra weight to live off of. I have been trying to lose weight so hard with consistent eating right (whole foods), exercise, lots of water and the scale doesnt budge. I am incredibly disheartened and am also taking a vacation in a week where I will spend much of the time in a bathing suit. I really just want to feel good and like I have made some progress. I just want to get through the trip a little smaller than I am now. |
