| I don’t think most people are thinking about this. |
Ok? In that case no celebrity scandal ever matters and there does not need to be any PR ever. Totally agree most people aren’t thinking about Blake lively one way or the other. But she wants studio execs to be thinking about her for movies and right now, and they’re not. People who work with Blake’s brands also want her to be doing well and have customers thinking about Blake and her hair and buying products but they are not. So you are right that the average American going about their day, is not thinking about this. Maybe that gives Blake some comfort, but it doesn’t do crap for her career, which is the whole point of PR and a huge part of why she wants this case to go differently than it is. |
We also are not thinking of her brands. Or whoever this guy is. Or PR. It’s not on the radar of anyone. Scandals or whatever aren’t interesting more than a day or so. The hyper response here is wild. These people don’t matter |
+1. Nobody cares. Blake and Ryan are just being milked by teams of "expert" leeches around them because they are uneducated vain suckers. |
And yet here you are, again. |
| I love when this thread gets to the point where I don't even know which posts are pro or anti anymore. |

I love how upthread when the judge is scolding Baldoni lawyers and things and throwing out his suit people were like he will never work again! Justin is done! Career ruined!
And now as soon as Blake is on the other side of it, and actually there’s a ton more press because there is definitely more click bait from finding out her sexual harassment claims are gone, it’s like nobody cares. Nobody’s paying attention to this. Sorry, but a ton of mainstream media is paying attention to this. Celebrities actually want people to care in a good way and that’s just not what is happening right now. Nobody cares if Blake lively never stars in a movie again but I’m guessing she does. Nobody cares if nobody buys a Blake Brown beauty product again, but I’m betting she cares. Nobody cares about Taylor’s wedding guest list but I’m guessing she’s pissed she’s not on it. |
Dp, I’ll go a step further. It matters some what the public thinks of Blake but much more what Hollywood decision makers think. Regardless of the merits of the litigation, everyone now knows that Blake thinks it’s appropriate not to sign a contract and then use that as leverage throughout the course of production to get her way, and that she will make ridiculous demands (see her own words in her letter for producer credit). Now she is also known as someone who will tie up everyone’s lives and force them to pay attorney’s fees to defend meritless claims. And she has no qualms about filing fake lawsuits to improperly get discovery without notice, or going to the NY Times and attempting character association. No matter what happens with respect to the retaliation claims, her career will be limited to self funded projects going forward for these reasons. |
Bad autocorrect — character assassination. |
I mean. It’s in recent topics as if it’s pertinent. Isn’t tho. So unsure what you think you’re saying here. |
It has to be a singular obsessive. |
Completely agree. I find it hard to believe she had any real fans to begin with. |

The crazy irony of this whole thing is that Blake and Ryan didn’t get to where they were without having almost total control of their image and what gets out about them.
They spend a lot of energy (and money) trying to come off as this laid-back couple that doesn’t take themselves too seriously. The craziness and chaos of juggling all those kids, but never anything vulnerable or hard about that. The easy back-and-forth banter that shows how self deprecating they are. And yet we see them become obsessed with this movie and their image. Obsessed with having control. Scheming, not being collaborative. Not being grateful for opportunities they have been given, but being incredibly difficult and demanding. Brazenly insulting other people for seemingly no reason but just to be mean, and using whatever high-powered connections that they have….for this dumb movie and possibly a sequel that will now never happen. Honestly, knowing Ryan Reynolds sense of humor, he is literally portraying a character he’d probably be parodying in a movie. |

| I think they have a chance with this motion. Would be devastating to Blake”s case. |
