Donnie Dumptruck says Mar-A-Lago's been searched by the FBI

Judge Cannon is a piece of work. How embarrassing. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flsd.618763/gov.uscourts.flsd.618763.89.0.pdf
It appears she wants Judge Dearie to decide if the documents marked "classified" are really classified???

Dearie appointed as Special Master by Cannon, now off to find the imaginary executive privilege.

And wants the investigating to stop until November 30.
Umm… seems like we should get a move on, no?

She is complicit with the cover up and should be charged as such. She is a radical jurist that is materially impacting our national security.

Can DOJ appeal? Didn't they already file a notice of appeal?

What do people think of Dearie>

How in the world could he try to claim executive privilege over classified and government documents?

The 11th is totally “conservatives”. They will agree with whatever trumps puts out.

Is the argument that there are papers that aren’t the governments? Papers that really are his, not from his time in office. Just mixed in and disorganized?

At this point in history, it's very possible. And possible the Supreme Court affirms. I don't think it's hugely likely, but it's possible. I realize all the talking heads will say it's not so, but to my knowledge, the extent of Presidential declassification authority, for classified materials that are not subject to another law or statute, has never been litigated, or even really discussed. There's certainly no statutory procedure, and there's an awful lot of Supreme Court justices that subscribe to the unitary executive theory of the presidency.

Did DOJ challenge Cannon's jurisdiction over the case? Because I would hope that's still ripe for appeal and the higher courts could use that as a get out of jail free card, so to speak.

It’s totally insane. Somehow the GOP has gone from the president has total and absolute authority over whether a document is classified to actually private persons can decide that documents are not classified.

Trump has not claimed in any court filing that he declassified any of these documents.

Well, if there is a sealed indictment, tomorrow would be a good day to unseal it. Just saying!

I keep thinking this is what they need to do. Puts the case in DC and takes it away from this whack job. They can always supersede later.

Which illiustrates the utter disregard he showed towards government documents and particularly classified documents.
