Are pantyhose IN now?

Went out last night and every single woman in a skirt or dress had on either sheer black pantyhose or nude pantyhose. No tights. Did this just happen? Did styles change recently?

I don't understand why you hate hose but not tights. Tights are just thicker, opaque hose.

I do both depending on the outfit and how dressy I am trying to be. I have one black dress I wear with black tights to dress it down or wear it with nude stockings/sheer black stockings to dress it up.
