Why would I want to specifically be taller than my parents?
I'm fine with my height, haven't given much thought to it relative to that of my parents', or anyone else really. |

| yes. Mom is 5'8" and I'm 5'5" (and a half). DD is 11 and going to be super-tall. She's already calling me "shorty" but I told her she has to wait until she actually surpasses me before teasing me |

| Yes and yes. My mother is 5'9". My father is taller than her. I am 5'4". I wish I was 5"6" or 7". |

| Yes, I'm 5'5", mom is 5'7" or so, and dad is 5'9" or so. I love my height so no, I don't wish I was taller than them. However, I plan on marrying someone hella tall so my kids might be taller than me. |

| Well, certainly I'm shorter than my dad (I'm a woman). He's 5'9 and I'm 5'4. My mom is 5'3. She and I have the same sized hands and feet. |

My parents are 6'4 and 5'4.
Kids are: DD 5'5 DD 5'6 DS 6'3 As far as I know, we are all fine with our heights except my Dad who is too tall to be comfortable in standard seats (cars, planes, theaters). My brother is borderline too-tall. They both think there is a big difference between 6'2" and 6'4". |

this. I am a shorty, and I'm cool with that. I didn't care at all about how tall my parents were in comparison to me. I come from a line of petite women, so I had no expectation of being any taller than I am. My daughter is likely on track to be about my height. |

Knew a woman who was 5'10". Her mom was 6'2" and her dad was 6'5". They always joked she must be the mailman's kid.
