YES!!! I'm the shortest by far and the youngest.

Dad 6'1, Mom 5'6.5", Sister 5'8", brother 6'3", me 5'4".

I have 6 first girl cousins two 5'9, four 5'10". The adopted cousin is 5'2". We are the family midgets.

My best friend is 5'1". I wanted to be petite and tiny like her in elem-middle school when I was one of the tallest girls always.
I got my wish when I stopped growing in 7 th grade. Now I'd give anything for height !!'

Yes, I'm the shortest by 5" in my family. I'm 5'4". Both (younger) siblings are taller than me too. I'm also built differently than my mom and sister, they're athletic, I have hips and am petite.

No, it never bothered me, but I'm so used to being the smallest that it was weird when DH and I got together and everyone in his family was my height (he's 5'8" and the tallest person in his family)

DS is small so far (10th percentile for height at 5yo), he's from my first marriage, XH was 6'1" and I was 6" shorter than everyone in his family.

I am 6'0 and DH is 6'8. I wonder about our kids (still young but off the growth charts). Esp my DD... I think I am on the edge of "socially acceptable" height, so hoping she is my height or a little shorter.

Yes, I was about 4 or 5 inches shorter than my parents and an inch shorter than my sibling.

Yes, 4 inches shorter than the shorter parent. I've come to terms with being really, really short. It used to bother me.

I'm about 5'2" and am shorter than everyone in my family by at least a few inches - at least until G'ma started shrinking. I was always one of the smallest kids in class but it never bothered me. My DD is projected to be taller than me. She's currently in the 10th percentile for height. We had some testing done because of decreased growth velocity which is how we got the height projection. I think it'll feel really odd when the kids outgrow me. DS is 11 and almost there. His shoe size is at least one size greater than mine already.

mom and dad are 5'0" and I'm 5'11" (first generation born and raised in the US).

DD, who is 6 years old, is about 4" and hope she's taller than my ex (5'4")

Yes. I am 5'0, my mom is 5'2 and my dad is 5'6. However, my older sister is 4'10 and I have always felt like a giant oaf next to her. I wanted to be shorter when I was younger, but then I got out in the real world and realized that I am an adult woman who always has to ask people to reach things for her and I wanted to be taller.

I am 5'8" and DH is 5'11".

My mom was 5'8" and my dad is 5'9 (though I think he may be an inch shorter now).

DH's parents are both shorter than him.

Taller than mom, shorter than dad. Given I'm a woman, I would not really care to be taller than my dad who was just shy of 6' when I was born. Mom on the other hand is 5' on a good day...definitely would prefer to be taller than that!

I'm about an inch taller than my mother at 5'10" and about an inch shorter than my father. My brothers and husband and brothers in law are all 6'3"+.

So how is it that our kids are so short? (About 30th percentile for height currently at age 4 and 2).

Yes. My parents are both 5'10",and I'm 5'3" (female). My sister is 5'6" and both of my brothers are 6'.

My husband is 6'3" and our kids are grown. Our son is 5'9" and our daughters are 5'5" and 5'6".

I wish my girls had been taller, because they were volleyball players, and it was tough. I wish my son were taller because I think women find a man short if he's under 5'10" or so.
