Single on Valentine's Day

For those of us who are expecting no cards and have made no dinner reservations. Let us congregate and console each other. For the record, I have always been single on Valentine's Day. Pretty depressing in hindsight.

PP here and I am single and have been for 7 years. I'm sorry you find it a difficult holiday. Try to make plans with friends, go out and buy something for yourself, get a mani/pedi and try to focus on the things in your life that are great.

Personally, I struggle more with family oriented holidays when ALL of my siblings and cousins (yes, I am the last one not married and have over 25 cousins - including some of my cousins' kids who are also married) show up. I just have no emotional connection to St V's day.

Well, I am divorced, a single parent, and new to this area, so I definitely did not have a rocking valentine's day. My son and I stayed up late watching DVDs and had some pizza. It wasn't anything special, but not all that bad either.

Sometimes it is worse to be married on Valentine's Day. Not all marriages are romantic and happy.
