| So, DD just got invited to her first princess party. Invite says the kids can dress up if they want; they've hired a "princess" to come to the party. DD doesn't have a princess costume though, and isn't really much into the Disney princesses. She does love to dress up though, but I haven't spent a lot of money getting her various costumes, unless you count the dollar store. Do I need to go out and get a costume now? If yes, where I can get one cheap? Or can I piecemeal something together? These are 3 year olds, btw. |
| Oh man. I thought I had until 5 or 6 to worry about this. Any chance you can decline? |
| I'd just put something together. Does she have any dress-up clothes? Any old bridesmaids' dresses of yours you have passed down to let her play with? Something along these lines? It doesn't have to be an Official Disney Princess Outfit, in my humble opinion. . . |
| Do you have any friends? I'm sure there are folks with multiple princess costumes who could loan you one. |
| Dollar Tree sells tutus, wings, and tiaras. she can be a fairy princess. |
| Dress (girly and frilly), tiara, costume jewelry, bam. |
I would just male something with what you have. Maybe she could be a winter princess....or a truck princess whatever she is into. No need to buy some hung special IMO.
|
Sorry for typos! Something..,.not some hung. And make....not male. Ugh! |
ha ha ha!! Those hung truck drivers are special. |
What are you really thinking about? Freudian slip?
|
| She does not have to dress up. My son has been invited to various parties that have a theme they suggest you dress as, and few kids show up dressed up. If she wants to dress up, just use what you have, borrow, and add a cheap tiarra |
What about the OP's post makes you think she wants to decline? |
Pp here...I know right!? My smartphone certainly has its head in the gutter today! |
Why decline? |
For a party like this, with girls, almost all of them will be dressed up. |
