I continue to believe if the virus only hurt the young, we never would have never bender over backwards like we are now for COVID and the elderly. |
Where are all these fat kids? None of my children or their friends have gained weight and certainly nobody on my kid's travel team, either. But, they still play outside and attend practices twice a week with clinics 4 days a week. Pandemic or not, nothing has stopped you and your children from going outside to play and be active except for... you the parent. Mine are DL and will remain DL. That's not an excuse to allow your child to get fat. It's just lazy parenting. |
Young people don't vote and don't have money. |
Okay, princess. Here’s your parenting Gold Star. Now kindly STFU. |
Everywhere if you care to open your eyes and look. |
How old are your kids? IME the fat kids don’t actually start getting fat until about 4th or 5th grade. And you can just look at the parents to know who will be fat. If a kid has 2 fat parents, odds are not in their favor. |
I mean, I a kids life is exclusively school and sports/activities I guess you could say their lives were cancelled. |
Dear Idiot Parents of DCUM, At a certain age, yes, a kid’s life IS exclusively school and sports/activities (also known as friends and peers). They’re just not that into you. Being around you all day, every day, going on walks together, kicking a ball around, is TORTURE for them. They may be putting on a brave or happy face, but they are actually suffering. Love, A parent who remembers what childhood is like |
You should do the same and go tend to your fat a** kids. |
Ouch! So insulting! I guess we have to take back that gold star. You’re an imperfect parent, shame! |
Yes. If there was a Covid that mostly affected infants through college-age young people and mostly left adults and the elderly with mild cold-like symptoms and a minuscule death rate, we never would have shut down anything at all. Maybe day cares for young kids. Schools would be open because it doesn’t affect adults and there’s no “children’s union.” Parents would have been expected to work full time in the office. The prevailing talking points would have been “well you should have planned for this when you had kids,” so basically the same as it is now except far worse. |
No need for snark. And I do remember what childhood is like, and it's not what you described. |
So I guess the teens who are hanging themselves in their closet are being melodramatic. |
When will you say that to the fata** teachers of the teacher's union who are afraid they will literally die if they catch a cold virus that has a 0.5% mortality rate? |
