So if I ignore the fire in my house it’s not my fault when the house burns down. Got it. but go ahead and find some more cute emojis before bedtime. |
what a load of crap. the finalists were not announced this year until after January 1. What T20 school has an application deadline after January 1? |
|
I am still waiting for someone to explain to me why no one is complaining about certain other top schools that follow the same policies, such as Colgate, or Amherst, or Williams, or Washington & Lee, or Middlebury, or Carelton, or Bowdoin, or Colorado College... etc.
Why is that? |
Hey I’m sure this poster has a list of every Intel semifinalist from the last 20 years and where they were all accepted to college. I’m sure they wouldn’t just make stuff up. |
Name 1 single economy that expanded anywhere in the world as the US economy contracted. But it’s all trumps fault, of course. He gets blamed for COVID, wild fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, global warming - all the natural disasters, man-made or otherwise. You must think he’s all powerful, all knowing, and all good. Got it. |
My bad. I thought it referred to intelligence quotient meaning an intelligent person. But at least in Websters - it can specifically refer to a number: 1: a number used to express the apparent relative intelligence of a person: such as a: a score determined by one's performance on a standardized intelligence test relative to the average performance of others of the same age b: the ratio of the mental age (as reported on a standardized test) to the chronological age multiplied by 100 2: proficiency in or knowledge of a specified subject |
Or Stanford, or MIT or Princeton or Columbia, etc. etc. Only H and Y for some reason. |
Are you really sure you want to start comparing where other countries stand today in terms of progress against COVID 19 and where we stand? |

My daughters college tour was explained just cause you have grades does not mean you get in. He explained a schools needs the following, football players, basketball players, people for the band, folks to join frats, folks to do college tours, work study folks, low income folks, diversity of color, ADA and sexual orientation and geographic diversity and folks who are commuters vs dorms vs off campus. Tons of clubs to full, tons of majors and minors to fill.
Gpa and SAT:ACT are just two factors. I recall he said if you can find an Eskimo or Native American Indian send them my way. |
MIT can’t practice affirmative action. If the student can’t calculate numbers, s/he can’t buy him or herself in. Columbia has always been fair. They didn’t discriminate against Jews when that was the thing to do among wasps. |
Ummmm, actually IQ IS determined by test scores. Intelligence, however, is not. |
There are thousands more academically qualified applicants then can be accommodated at some schools. Many other factors are considered. |
Lol: Fair to whom? Based on what? |
| California system doesn't use race as a factor that's fair and guess what mostly whites and asians and barely and blacks or Hispanics in the top schools |
Was wondering where H found Elizabeth warren. |
