It’s astonishing that somehow every one of these posts about slimy GOP manages to be eye popping in its own way. |
And they are all drown out by the much more series crimes in the highest office. |
Yup, as I said toward the beginning of the thread - “I didn’t start this thread but I have added a lot of the other news articles, and there are none about Trump and co. because a) duh, and b) there are enough whole threads about them. I think the “every level” of the thread title sort of means “besides Trump, there are all these other scandals amongst all these other Republicans that don’t get press because Trump misspelled something today on Twitter.” I find it fascinating that no one wants to discuss these instances of cheating, crimes and investigations (save for some lame whataboutism re the Tallahassee investigation which has been proven to not have touched Gillum) so this thread remains a dull list of news articles. But I will persist in adding them to the list as I see them. “There's a river of dirty money flowing through this place.” |
It isn't dull. I like that it ins't polluted with inane comments from deniers. Just unwashed, unvarnished truth about unethical people in power. |

Plenty of D’s and R’s In every section. The GOP is corrupt, but it’s either extreme ignorance, or extreme naïveté to think Democrats are not just as corrupt. Threads like this are why things never change, both parties make each other out to be the devil-incarnate so neither side ever listens to the other. If what makes you love or hate someone-or pay attention to their indiscretions-is the ‘D’ or ‘R’ in front of their name, you’re just plain dumb ![]() |
Every single thing listed in this thread has occurred just in the last year. Please read it and all the links in it before you both sides everything. |
Oh, I didn’t realize anything that if it happened more than a year ago it’s insignificant. ![]() |
Linking to Wikipedia is what’s insignificant. |
How so? |
Paul Petersen, the Republican assessor of Arizona's most populous county, was charged in Utah, Arizona and Arkansas with counts including human smuggling, sale of a child, fraud, forgery and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Petersen ran an adoption fraud scheme that promised pregnant women thousands of dollars to lure them from a Pacific Island nation to the U.S., where they were crammed into houses to wait to give birth, sometimes with little to no prenatal care in what prosecutors called a human smuggling case.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/arizona-county-assessor-accused-human-smuggling-sale-child-adoption-scheme-n1064116?cid=sm_npd_nn_tw_ma |
Jesus - that is unconscionable. And the fcking hypocrisy should be staggering but given that it's a GOP politician it's sadly not - it's expected. |
It will be interesting to get to the bottom of the DeVos family's adoption mill that they run. I suspect we may be stunned at the degree of human trafficking. |
This is dark. I came to the thread to see if this story had made it. I was googling Marshall Islands to see why the women would be eligible for food stamps and found that Springdale, AR has a significant Marshallese population. This is the same town as the Duggers. I see one of the people arrested is from Springdale. https://www.facebook.com/ArkanasasCoalitionofMarshallese/ |
The Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives was caught on tape - in, get this, a quid pro quo - offering official actions for political assistance.

Holy god. Forced birthers should ________ (be quiet). The long bar is my real thoughts, excised for ban-able content. This is so, so disgusting. To the PP who brought up the devos family - who do you think has the girls who were taken from the border? Where were they sold? |
