And that’s the ballgame.

Republicans might well hold every single senator in line and get him through. But a nominee RIGHT NOW, by this POTUS, who is on record as wanting to overturn the unanimous Watergate tapes decision?

By a large, and increasing margin, Americans agree that they want the next Congress to serve as a check on the presidency. And stop things like this trade war.

Pushing a guy who’s unpopular, with this on his record, this summer or fall, just unde the wire to subvert the will of the midterm voters, would end the Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

First of all, he didn’t say anything about overturning the decision. He was asked his opinion on the decision.
Secondly, this guy is only unpopular in YOUR world, PP.

DP. He's popular, if you compare his popularity to Bork. He's very unpopular in the real world.

The “real world” = the liberal bubble.

Look more closely at the polls and the breakdown...
Fox News poll - 12% of Democrats are for confirmation; 70% of Republicans are.
Gallup poll - 14% of Democrats are for confirmation; 76% of Republicans are.
Pew poll - 16% of Democrats are for confirmation; 73% of Republicans are.

See a pattern here? The Democrats are following the Democratic Congress in obstructing. I would venture to say that ANYONE from Trump’s list would see the same lack of support from Democrats.

Can anyone in the GOP explain why public documents in the national archives are being shielded from review for this nomination?

More interesting factoid: 23 to 30% of REPUBLICANS do not believe he should be confirmed. That's not good. And I bet a lot those are Republican women who don't like the direction in which he would take the court.

What are the Independent numbers?

Kavanaugh will be confirmed despite all of the Democrat's attempts to derail the nomination.

Manchin and Heidi H have or will be meeting with him despite the general boycott by Democratic senators. I expect there will be at least 55 votes in favor.

Well, I'm married to a banker. We'd never trust anyone who got himself into $200k in debt when he barely made that much. But Vladimir, we know you're trying to dismantle the US Government, so carry on.

Who cares? The GOP can’t be bothered to share all his relevant documents and the man has zero money sense. He shouldn’t be confirmed for his mega debt alone.

Translation. Attorney who argues cases before the Supreme Court supports Supreme Court nominee to curry favor when she appears before the body.

So the same is true of liberal attorney Neal Katyal who appeared as a witness before the House Judiciary Committee in support of Gorsuch?

How is reviewing policy documents penned by Kavanaugh derailing the nomination? This is a lifetime appointment and deserves proper diligence.

He appears before the Supreme Court as well. So sure, why would it be different?
