Not sure how they get around the building limit of 300 students though.

Also whether Kingsbury students are special needs or not is beside the point. They don't take up more space.

Lamb has several hundred families and the some handful of families that frequently use this board and are opposed to lamb and opposed to the move and insist on formulating a decision based on incomplete evidence cited by other uninformed individuals are commenting here. If you are a family looking into Lamb, this is not where I would come to get an educated, unbiased view. This is how Trump got elected.

Absolutely untrue. Go hang out at the South Dakota campus around pickup. Parents are furious about this poorly planned move. Just read the lamb listserv. People are NOT happy. Only a few people in Ward 3 really want this move to happen. Many people are concerned about the loss of diversity, and the fact that the school is just too darn small and ill-equipped for Lamb.

Haha this is so laughable. I've only seen positive remarks on school listserv and everyone I've spoken to is excited. Maybe I don't get all the emails or maybe this comment is just false. Poor potential families will never know. I looked at this listserv obsessively when I was lotterying last year. Now that I'm on the inside I know this is all bs. You hear the opinion of the outspoken few and nothing more.

You can shut your eyes to the fact that most families oppose this move. Know this - we did see what happened at MV, we are organized, and we are unafraid.

Bring on the signed letters, I'd love to get an accurate sense of how many families sign on to oppose move to Kingsbury. You should report here for families who need accurate information.

Agree. Lots of opposition there with well argued points that need to be considered. Everyone would love one gorgeous campus for lamb, but this seems poorly thought out and too small.

List serve support and opposition is easy to quantify, by looking back through the school list serve. From the first posting titled campus consolidation through today's list serve, I count 5 individuals posting in support, 5 opposed and 5 neutral/question responses. Most of the support postings have been about the specific Kingsbury move. Read what you want into that, but these have been the publicly stated positions.

Neutral. LOL

I guess I was looking at the emails I received from others voicing strong opposition to moving to kingsbury. Too small, too far, lease not a purchase... Just another mess.

From my observations a vast majority of families are ecstatic. And then there are a few families that come here to complain about things like their charter school not providing a bus to pick up every kid in Wards 6/7/8 at their doorstep (even though Kingsbury is closer than WR, where their kid will end up anyway). I'm over this nonsense already.

How can you call this a "poorly planned" move? We don't even know what the plan is. We are more than a year out and the parent meeting hasn't even happened yet. What if the plan is that Missouri moves first and SD in a few years. Are you then going to complain that it is not fair that SD has to stay at Perry St. while the other campus gets beautiful green space? If all move to Kingsbury, then you are going to complain that Lamb is not supporting a shuttle. If lamb supports a shuttle, you are going to complain that Lamb isn't paying for it. If Lamb pays for it, you are going to complain that Lamb's poor admin is not running the shuttle properly. Face it, you're going to complain no matter what and the plan doesn't really matter.

Untrue PP. I think you just make sure not to speak to anyone who lives in Ward 6 7 8. Most people are very troubled because the facility doesn't hold enough students and will effectively expel all children from Wards 6 7 and 8.

But we read the racist subtext in your message. Got it.

I consider the baseline LAMB facility as Missouri Ave. with South Dakota always as a temporary satellite campus. The move to Kingsbury is just down the road from Missouri and not a big deal.

No one cares about your delusions.

I think a lot of lower middle class white families are thrilled with the idea that their snowflake might be in an exclusive private school with no black or poor kids.

I have faith that the majority of lamb is more educated than that and will recognize the importance of diversity and inclusivity.
