I can hear the theme song in my head right now. And remember all their names!

Yes, but I was talking about passing notes in class, and knowing how to fold them exactly so you would be impressed by both the message and that you had to flip a tag to open it. Anyone else remember this?

My siblings were born in '65 and '67 and all of us identify with a lot of these memories. I don't really think those of us born around then identify with Baby Boomers. For instance, I don't remember when (either) Kennedy was shot.

Cut off for Baby boomer is '64. You are a boomer.

Happy summer, everyone. Beam me up, Scottie. Kirk out.

I had these sheets!

OMG. Why did everyone have those sheets?? We had them too!

Moms in my neighborhood went through a macrame (spelling?) phase making things to hang potted plants. They also had a bunch of Tupperware parties. And even in the city there seemed to be a penchant for Kenny Rogers and the Gaitlin Brothers(?).

Those "cut offs" are meaningless. Do you really think someone born in 1963 has more in common with someone born in 1948 than with someone born in 1965?

+1. Even the people studying generational trends don't all agree on the cutoff years.

Born in 1970. Here's what I remember all the cool, slightly older girls wearing circa 1979/80;

- Bass leather flip flops

- Dolfin shorts

- wooden toggle buttons on gauzy shirts

- gauchos

- gauzy shirts with gold threads

- clogs

- terry cloth shorts and sleeveless rompers

- Candies wedges

- wrap around skirts

Watching Space Camp and wanting so badly to become an astronaut. Then, devastated by the Challenger explosion.

If you miss the 80s, you really should watch "Stranger Things" on Netflix. It starts slow, but picks up speed in Episode 3 and it's wall-to-wall 80s nostalgia.
