My Mork suspenders. Summer camps where the pothead counselors were like, you guys are on your own for the day. Baloney on white sandwiches.

I went to one of the top elem schools in Fairfax County. When it got really hot in early June near the end of the school year, there wasn't air conditioning in the whole building so they would have us stand outside while they decided what to do. Then suddenly they would close school early and I would walk home. Awesome.

OMG this made me LOL!!! I am still chuckling. So, so true. These few lines pretty much sum up a Gen X childhood. Well done.

I also remember Saturday nights babysitting and watching Love Boat and Fantasy Island after the kids went to bed.

Yes, but they made me watch dukes of hazard first!

Shrinky dinks!

We've still got all that on vinyl! ??

Happy summer, everyone. Beam me up, Scottie. Kirk out.

Np here. I had these sheets! And a quilted wall hanging decor to match.

Ugh, their rainbow order is out of order!

so true!

The only thing I liked about physics class was learning rainbow refraction.

What about cursive? Are we the last generation to use it?

No! A surprising number of things are in cursive! Lots of signs, fonts, etc. You and I read them automatically, but kids don't. My kid wants to learn it!

I spent so many hours doing the Wonder Woman spin in my lousy front yard, preparing to turn into Wonder Woman!

And totally, Bo! I was the oldest person in a literature class recently & the professor used the Dukes of Hazzard theme song as an offhand example of a modern ballad in pop culture. The students had no idea what the prof was talking about, so I sang a few bars of it, haha. The awesome thing was one guy was like "Ballad? You mean like a Whitesnake song or something?"

Driving home from work the other day, I spotted my 6 and 10yr old biking about a mile and a half from home. They are always together and have a pretty big range.
