My siblings were born in '65 and '67 and all of us identify with a lot of these memories. I don't really think those of us born around then identify with Baby Boomers. For instance, I don't remember when (either) Kennedy was shot.

Cut off for Baby boomer is '64. You are a boomer.

Those "cut offs" are meaningless. Do you really think someone born in 1963 has more in common with someone born in 1948 than with someone born in 1965?

+1. Even the people studying generational trends don't all agree on the cutoff years.

I am a 1966er. My husband was born in '62. He says I'm a Boomer - that I have more in common with the Boomers. But when he brings up information connected to Boomers - aside from music - I have no connection to those things/events.

I think 66 was a weird in between year, as many of my friends feel the same way. We grew up with Gen X mindsets but were on the older end.

I'm a '65er and I agree....weird in between time to be born.

And this is despite having an older sib. I think I'm a little stuck btwn Gen X and Millennials (although I don't feel like a Millennial either).

This. I thought I was a Gen X'er but after reading these posts, I don't think I am. I also don't feel like a Millennial.

Dittos jeans - right out of the dryer - every morning.in every color. Laying back on the bed to zip them up and hurting my index finger on the zipper because they were so tight.

And "Chemin de Fer" jeans - button up the front or lace ups.

Bicentennial/patriotic everything in 1976. Postage stamps, dresses, even my lunch box was patriotic.

Faberge Organics, Silkience and Halsa shampoos

Kinney Shoes. Thom McAn.

Prairie shirts, skirts and those silver Western belts! My dream outfit in 1980. Bonus: cowboy boots and your hair pulled back in a barrette on one side only.

Wearing such skin tight Jordache or Sergio Valente or Calvin Kleins or Gloria Vanderbilts designer jeans that you'd have red imprint lines down your thighs that would show in your gym uniform.

Gunne Sax homecoming and prom gowns in the early 80s then giant hoop skirt Gone with the Wind style dresses mod 80s.

Those incredibly ugly Kenney's shoes - brown suede with a wedge-like heel, lace-up and G.A.S.S. imprinted on the sole. Only the cool kids wore them, and sadly when I finally got a pair, they looked ridiculous on me.
