She's always had a really high forehead and really thin hair. Looks terrible. I don't know why she doesn't have extensions to give her some volume and bangs to hide her veiny forehead.

Denial is very powerful. She likely doesn't think she even has an eating disorder.

There is a photo of her w her son that came out today or recently. Honestly she looks terrible like she should really be in a hospital. I used to think a few years ago she was just thin....now it looks like she really has something going on that is concerning.

So, Giuliana has a new interview with People magazine in which she says also thinks she is too thin and her weight loss is due to her cancer medications.

The cynic in me questions whether this is actually the cause. Having her cancer medications be the cause of her weight loss shuts down all the criticism and makes it nearly impossible to say anything bad about her weight. But, she could have just said that at the outset. Normally, I'd say a person is entitled to her privacy and shouldn't have to divulge something so personal, especially about a medical condition, but Giuliana is one of the least private people, sharing her life in a reality show and through Twitter. She shared her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as her support for breast cancer research and funding, so it seems like it would have been a natural progression to also mention that her medications were apparently affecting her metabolism.

The treatments for breast cancer can do a number on your body. It may be that Giuliana didn't realize that the meds were what were causing her to lose weight. Maybe she was worried about disease progression, maybe she was waiting for her body to bounce back from the surgery and get back to normal...

She's had a heck of a schedule while undergoing all of this treatment too. She has always been a fairly thin person so maybe she's had something going on with her metabolism that was just kicked into high gear with these meds..

I read the surrogate lost the last embryo. Why didn't they retrieve more embryos????

But what about all that stuff about her strict diet? If the weight loss was a concern related to her cancer treatment, she would have been working with a nutritionist to increase calories, not talking about strategies to trick yourself to feel full. BS

Leave this poor woman alone. If she has an eating disorder, you vultures certainly aren't helping the situation. She seems like a great, upbeat girl who tries to share her experiences with others in a positive way. Be nice people. Find some empathy and compassion.

The surrogate is from Bethesda and a friend of a friend. From what I understand, after the loss, the ransics blamed the surrogate and got really weird with her (angry weird) surrogate was happy to be done with them because of poor treatment. Really sad.

They discovered her breast cancer as she was starting fertility treatments. I don't recall all the details, but I'm sure they got as many eggs from her as they could at that time.
