Huh? UK, Australia, most of Europe.. that is where most Disney visitors are from and they most certainly have vaccines. The way some Americans view the rest of the world is absolutely deranged.

Not true, they are from Mexico, South America, Asia etc.

It is true that WDW is loaded with South Americans: Brazilians, Colombians, etc. just love Disney.

Not to be that person but the UK / Europe have significantly less recommended vaccines.

It’s one of the biggest arguments the anti vaxxers use in the US when arguing against the current vaccine schedule.

No vaccine requirements in the state should go quite well at super spreader Disney/Universal events

You do know that COVID vaccines don’t prevent spread right? They just lessen the severity?

I get a new Covid vaccine every fall (well, we will see if they let me this year) but I still have gotten Covid a few times.

You know they just announced that no school age child in Florida will be required to present vaccinations. I don't want to be in the midst of a polio/measles/mumps epidemic while trying to ride Space Mountain. FAFO Florida.

We are fully vaccinated and not immunocompromised. You could run into someone with the measles literally anywhere.

Until recently, that wasn’t very likely as most people are vaccinated and so the disease is very rare. But if people don’t get vaccinated then these once rare diseases will not be any more, and then it’s hard to avoid. It may be fine if you’re all vaccinated and not immunocompromised but the immunocompromised part could change at any time, and if you have babies too young to be vaccinated they are at risk. It

+1 It's sad that people lack empathy for the medically fragile...and for infants and say "it doesn't affect me, so no big deal." There but for the grace of god go we all.

I don't know how to convince people that they should care about other people. It's a Small World After All.

So kids with cancer going to Disney for make a wish and herds of unvaccinated people. That is concerning.

Did you read? My family is full vaccinated and I fully support vaccines and science. But I’m not going to boycott Floridian vacations over it. You are free to.

I costed out a trip for the six of us to go to Orlando for a week. It was ridiculous! Instead we went to Ireland for 10 days, stayed in really nice places and we had the best time for much less money.

So a week for me in Orlando costs about $1K for hotel, $400 for car, $200pp for flight, $300 for parking, $50 for petrol. Food and booze is incrementally higher, partially offset by not eating at home, so let's say $1K for food and snacks. You don't have to spend on that if you don't want. Tickets will be $700 or so per person.

For a family of four that is $3K for tickets and $800 for flights. Let's add $500 for incidentals. The total is about $7K for the week. I'm neither splurging nor skimping here. So, you took your family to Ireland for 10 days for "much less money?" How? Show me the math.

RT tickets to Ireland let's say they are $500 on a good deal. So that is $2K to start.

And I do this for four in my case. How would I do everything else I need to do for much less money for 10 days in Ireland?

Plenty of poor people go to Disney. They put it on a credit card and just add to their debt. I knew one family that was on food stamps and welfare and still went to Disney every year without fail. So yes, it’s a vacation for the well off if they don’t go into debt to go-but plenty of people go and just pay for it forever.

For 4 people you are paying under $150 per night for a hotel? Which hotel is this?

Orlando has at least 100 hotels for that price. Cheapest hotels around.

Food is also pretty inexpensive at Disney, cheaper than a restaurant here. Also no parking fees or gas needed outside of getting to an from the hotel

Well, they do. Shocking as that may be to you. They have no problem dropping $12,000 for a guided tour for the day. Lots of them. And that doesn't even include the entry tickets.

I've never heard of the guided tour? What exactly does that entail?

Disney employee walks around with you and you get to go to the front of the lines of all the rides. They help plan out the things you are interested in and walk you the most direct path, etc. It’s a 7 hour minimum and starts at $900/hour and goes up from there based on date. Up to 10 people can be in your group. Tickets and food are not included.

Thank you! I've never heard of that. That's wild
