You could say the same thing about the UVA boosters constantly talking about how it's so much better, how W&M is a safety for UVA, Ivy level, yada yada - if it's clearly better you wouldn't need to rub it in everyone's faces 24/7 esp when the stats don't agree with that. Why does every thread that so much as mentions W&M draw a hoard of haters that make their entire DCUM brand attacking it?

+1
If UVA was that much better they would have 100% submitting test scores and a 1570 median like the ivies but they don't and in fact have the exact same test stats as W&M.

+2. WM is just as good as UVA and we just need to spread the facts to as many people as we can.

My goodness... the insecurity of the UVA and W&M boosters is palpable. No one cares.

Troll

Observing what's going on here and how insecure some of you are is hardly trolling. Just look at the above bolded exchange. Wow.

And you personally know the people making those posts? Perhaps you do.

DP. Thank goodness I don’t know anyone insecure enough to say “X school is as good as Y school and we must ‘spread the facts’!!” How idiotic.

I’m spread the facts poster and I don’t apologize for letting people know how good WM is. Merry Christmas everyone and tonight I’ll be at Busch Gardens Christmas Town! UVA folks will be wherever.

You're not lol but good (lame) attempt at trolling

I like hearing positive posts about schools. If alums like their schools, the schools must be doing something right. If I hear negativity from someone who isn't associated with the school in any way, it just seems like there is an ax to grind. Actual experiences, good or bad, are the most helpful.

Honestly sounds like you just like hearing your own tunes then. Must be one of those “try to get in first” commenters that never has anything constructive to say.

And once again, wasting peoples time. Does relentless bullying make up your Christmas schedule often?

Nope...I read but post very rarely. The grumpy posts with no substance seem to come from the angry folks.

People here are so angry. Celebrate Christmas with your families.

So it's bullying when you call out someone needlessly attacking another person? Hit dog hollers.

But you were harassing the other person? Disagreement isn’t bullying.

So this is "disagreement" now?

To answer OP: Nothing happened to these schools. These are all great schools. A methodology change that eliminate some of the variables that benefited these schools caused the change in rankings. Eliminating variable like small class sizes and high % of faculty with terminal degree has really affected these schools. Tulane going from historically top 40/50 to 73 in one year means absolutely nothing other than a change in methodology.

These are all good schools, if you can afford them.

They just disagree with how you assess comments. That is a disagreement. Nothing hostile about it.

They did not bow to the DEI overlords and were banished to ranking oblivion.

LOL. Yes Brandeis and WM are models of right wing resistance.
