I just don’t get the end game for Trump here? Everybody hates Matt Gaetz, he isn’t all that special, he wouldn’t be a good AG and Trump knows that, and he doesn’t represent a swing district so it would be easy to toss him and get a new republican. What is Trump getting out of this?

B. Is undermined by his party publicly if they block his appointment.
