This thread is about Lebanon/Israel. |
Your first link references 200,000 Israelis displaced after Oct. 7. That number includes people in towns close to Gaza who were evacuated after 10/7. These two articles below from this week both reference about 60,000 Israelis displaced from the north. https://www.timesofisrael.com/return-of-displaced-northern-residents-to-their-homes-becomes-an-official-war-goal/ https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cglkkrj94ldo |
Yes and no. Those terror groups hate America as much as they hate Israel…and we are seeing growing numbers of religious extremists in the US. So, the problem is creeping into our country. Too bad Bill Maher can’t de-program religious extremists. |
Sigh. Not the point. The point is that Hezbollah was bombing Israel on Oct. 7. Unprovoked bombing the same day hamas attacked. ^^^ That’s the point. You can’t argue self-defense or retaliation on behalf of Hamas. It’s just the same old Iran-backed death to Israel/death to the west faux-religious fueled fighting that terrorists manipulated by rich oligarchs undertake for money. There’s nothing noble about it. |
No, there is no record of Hezbollah attacking on October 7. Just because this one woman says it happened, doesn't make it fact. All news reports say Hezbollah started October 8. Also, they did not bomb Israel on October 8. They launched rockets at Israeli positions in what they consider Lebanese territory, which is not recognized as Israel by most of the world. |
They hate America because of Israel. Opinions of Americans in the Middle East were actually quite high before 1948 |
Go do your homework and get back to me. I only know this because I read... |
The pagers were manufactured in Taiwan. They were sold by a Hungarian firm.
There is no solid evidence Israel had anything to do with this occurrence. |
Iran IS Hezbollah; they are one and the same. Iran/Hezbollah has many enemies besides Israel. Maybe Saudi Arabia is behind the explosions? |
If you watched the war unfold in real time on cnn and other outlets that day and that week, you would recall that Hezbollah was firing missiles. It happened. |
This is not good for Biden/ Harris—huge front page article in WaPo about how he is losing control of the situation in the Mideast.
Multiple articles— not looking good. |
It may have been reported that day when things were chaotic. As a reminder, many things reported at that time that turned out to be not true. No news article I have seen says that the attacks started October 7. All the ones say they started October 8 with rockets fired towards Israeli positions in border area of Shebaa farms. Some articles call the area "disputed" or "contested". https://apnews.com/article/israel-palestinians-gaza-hamas-rockets-airstrikes-tel-aviv-ca7903976387cfc1e1011ce9ea805a71 https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-artillery-strikes-targets-in-lebanon-as-mortar-shells-fired-toward-israel/ https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israel-strikes-lebanon-after-hezbollah-hits-shebaa-farms-2023-10-08/ |
I've read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Days_of_War It's pretty informative. Where'd you get your info? |
DP If even one of those displaced Israelis lives in a home that lies within occupied territory, the civilized world (i.e., everyone but the U.S. political class, religious nut jobs, and racists, Israel, and micro-states beholden to the U.S.) doesn’t give AF about their hardship or inconvenience. Not a single F. |
I think the Israeli intelligence created the Hungarian firm. It was a 15-year op. Read the NYT and WSJ. Amazingly thorough and detailed planning. Wish our CIA was as on top of it. |
