| The dean of the law school has issued a 10 page explanation about why the students' conduct was wrong and also why they aren't facing disciplinary action (in part becasue the administrators did not approriatley enforce existing free speect rules). https://law.stanford.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Next-Steps-on-Protests-and-Free-Speech.pdf |
The administrators present should face disciplinary action. |
| Press reporting that DEI administrator Steinbach has been placed on leave. |
Hopefully unpaid. Stanford law will require all students to attend training on "freedom of speech and norms of the legal profession". Another top university falls. I'm getting so f'n ashamed of this country.

+100 Immature and a spotlight-seeking loose cannon, to boot. It would be so delicious if Martinez and/or the president of Stanford fired her smug a$$. |
|
Ha - I love these last lines from Whelan's piece:
"It is difficult to see how Martinez and Steinbach can co-exist at Stanford. It’s time for Martinez to realize that Steinbach’s juice isn’t worth the squeeze." |
Agree 100%. |
CNN will hire here. Or Jezabel. |
Maybe Jezabel. Even CNN wouldn't want to touch this type of LWNJ. |
How is that a fall, if they are taking corrective action suggesting the hecklers are at fault? |
DP. It's good that they're taking action, but the question is - how did these dopey students get to this point in the first place? Who is telling them they are entitled to behave this way? |
When you have that many law students acting that way. Is this really rocket surgery to you? |
