What’s embarrassing? Adding a new club to Aspire? I don’t get it. Ohhh, you’re saying it is embarrassing because some random app told you what each age group is “ranked” and those “rankings” aren’t good enough, according to you, to be included in a league? Cool. Good post. You nailed it.

You’ll find similar rankings for most new ecrl clubs. This is what happens with growth.

Hopefully we don't see any GA teams posting their score lines against Aspire teams like Solar 09 ECNL beating FC Dallas RL 21-0 in the future.

Solar is doing this because the ranking app actually screws them if they don't beat lower level teams by a large number of goals.

This is actually a problem with the ranking app. Often tournaments only allow teams post at max a 6 goal differential even if the score is say a 15 goal differential. They do this because blowouts make the tournament look bad so they don't post the real score. Another issue is coaches start pulling back when they get up by 5ish goals. They fo this to be nice + tradition. However again this screws the club over in the ranking app.

Silly rabbit, coaches don't have to register with the event to go to it. All it does is say they will be their so players can reach out. Some schools won't put out notice simple because they get flooded with emails. I know at least 3 that were at NC but weren't listed because 2 were in contact with my D and the 3rd was at 2 of her games.

hey dummy... go to the website, go thru each 57 teams and count the actual number of coaches listed. it comes to what GA said the "number" of coaches attended. stop with this nonsense of secret coaches showed up to a GA Spring even. GA hats are too funny

The "problem" is that the ranking forces coaches to blow out opponents by as many goals as possible because it affect their ranking. It's also an issue because when tournaments artificially limit the number of goals reported it also affects teams ability to move up in the ranking.

As much as you want to deny it ranking matters to coaches recruiters players and parents.

Imagine if you're a top team and want to play in a local tournament but all the teams participating aren't very good. Just to maintain your high ranking you'll need to beat the not highly ranked teams by 3+ goals. If the tournament isn't allowing for more than a 6 goal differential there's no incentive to play because there's no way to advance in the rankings. Even worse say the whole team gets sick and they lose they'll drop like a rock in the rankings.

By tournaments trying to be "nice" and not allowing blowouts they've unknowingly created a situation where no top teams will participate.

This is absolutely disgusting and a disgusting response lol. Imagine having a kid through a program from U9 - U16 and still worried about a ranking. Bizarre behavior. This is the type of behavior that that league pushes.
