Which makes no sense, given the statements they found we're defamatory were contradictory. This verdict makes absolutely no sense.

He won overall. She won against some statements made in the media about her.

If the statement that he is an abuser is defamatory, the the statement that she is lying is not and vice versa. Contradictory findings of fact get tossed by the trial judge and appeals courts all the time

The one that she won on was the very specific statement by Depp’s attorney that Heard and her friends faked a scene of domestic violence and then called 911 for a second time after police dismissed the original call. This one was so clearly and undeniably false based on the evidence that the jury couldn’t do anything but find in her favor.

The rest of the verdict proves the truth of her op-Ed. The real point, the one Depp wanted people to forget about.

The case was about defamation, not abuse.

He did not sexually or physically abuse her. She made written statements that he did.
