Nah, teams like BF have had a good run over the last several years ... YT's coach winning 3 of the past 4 state championships is an excellent run. Fans of other schools dream of such runs.

Hey there little fella, I think Langley would have something to say about that. They won 3 out of 4 and the I bet your $3 401K they would have won in 2020 if there had been a season.

Congrats to Langley.

BF troll is not associated with program. Haters love to hate.

Langley hasn’t made a state final appearance since 2021. They’ve always had great talent but can’t seem to get over the Region playoff hump. Maybe next year!

Langley is a top team, they will get their chance again. Who knows, 2026 could be start of another excellent run.

Maybe what should be discussed is how Region D has won the last 7 state titles between Langley, Yorktown and Oakton.

There is another wave of talented young girls coming up and hope they can find a good replacement. I would imagine those are big shoes to fill.

This is a big loss as she has proven to be one of the best coaches in Northern VA. In the past two years her teams have gone 42-2. Some of those wins are not impressive but over half her wins are over perennial powers
BF - 4x
Dominion - 1x
Langley - 4x
Madison - 4x
Oakton - 3x
Robo - 3x
SL - 1x
WA - 1x
Woodson 3x
Total Wins over VHSL's best - 24

What’s her record over her entire time at YT? Against VHSLs best in the previous years? Anyone can selectively choose a statistical timeframe to make some point. What happened in 2023?

What's your point? She didn't win in 2023? Really? She won the state title in 2022, 2024, and 2025. How many 6A state titles has your coach won recently?

What was her record before 2022?

Didn't answer my question... How many 6A state titles has your coach won recently.... still waiting.

Answer the question Yorktown Dad. What was their record before 2022?

https://yorktownlacrosse.com/glaxcoaches/vars...ad-coach-jenny-tran/

This coach is a winner. Plain and simple.

Didn't realize she basically did the same thing at Battlefield that the Battlefield Dads crow about now (win district, region, go to states) when those fab freshman were in diapers. So the modern Bobcats aren't really anything special and have been singing the same sad song for nearly 15 years.

Langley would have most likely won 4 in a row if it hadn’t been for the canceled COVID season.

"would have" still dreaming....

Well Langley won 3 in a row unlike YT completely crushing the competition. And the COVID year was canceled but the next year they crushed all the competition. No one came close to them unlike YT who had a few close games.

Hey Langley dad, you better check the VHSL record book. Langley never won 3 in a row, Maybe had a chance if COVID season didn't wipe out the year.

2025 Yorktown over Madison 16-14
2024 Yorktown over Robinson 22-10
2023 Oakton over Battlefield 9-8
2022 Yorktown over Battlefield 18-8
2021 Langley over Colonial Forge 17-6
2020 COVID
2019 Langley over Madison 17-10
2018 Woodson over Langley 22-11
2017 Robinson over Centreville 16-13
2016 Robinson over Woodson 13-9
2015 Robinson over Oakton 16-12
2014 Westfield over Oakton 13-11

Langley dad forgot the thumping BL's Woodson team delivered to them.

Curious, how long have VA high schools offered girls lacrosse?

LMAO. Too bad Langley dad can't go back and edit all his posts. How 'bout it, Langley dad? Will you come back and apologize, show contrition for being toxic, illogical, strangely argumentative, dumb and wrong all at the same time? The quinfecta!!! Or are you still dreaming of making a run like YT just did?

1993-94 school year was the inaugural season for Girls Lacrosse in FCPS.
