Not criticizing the police, just don’t get it.

Their biggest fear is that he is not convicted because the physical evidence was not strong enough. I assume they felt that they did not have a smoking gun and needed AP to testify against him. It seems like a slam dunk, but murderers have been let go with even more circumstantial evidence in the past.

And also, let’s remember what he was charged with, aggravated murder, which in Virginia indicates it was premeditated. There may have been forensic evidence to show that he killed Christine, but they needed solid evidence to prove the entire thing was premeditated.

From google: "Jail card" is a term that usually describes the document that is sent from a clerk to a sheriff's office to explain the court's order (whether there is a jail sentence or release from jail on terms of bail, for example).

Maybe she’s entering a plea. Not sure though. there’s also a search warrant issued today for her case and then the weird jail card thing posted on her case.

Based on PP's Google of the term I'm guessing the jail card is the order or request from the court to bring Juliana to court for her hearing tomorrow.

And the officious paternal grandmother defended him as well. She (the grandmother) should have nothing to do whatsoever with the future custody of that child whose best prospects for any sort of normal future lie with the Benson family.

Where/when did this happen? I don't remember any of the family talking to the press.

Because they only have one shot to arrest him. I agree and wish he was arrested much earlier (I am a neighbor and it felt uneasy seeing him walking around the neighborhood) but I do understand why FCPD had to be really careful with this case.

Ultimately, the question should be why did it take this long for Juliana to flip? Is it because her attorney is being paid for by BB? Is she just that clueless and naive hoping they will be back together again? Only time will tell but this arrest is a step in the right direction.

I've seen this speculated on a lot.

BB paying for Juliana's lawyer would be a massive conflict of interest and I am not sure that would be allowed even if Juliana agreed to it. I would be interested to know who is paying though.
