2030 Girls Lacrosse

While I believe you have a strong overall understanding of the 2030 group, I also feel you may have a particular bias against the MDU administration.
My hope is that the girls continue to grow together as a cohesive group and that the families maintain the support, friendships, and positive sideline environment that have been built over time.
As for recruiting, college coaches will ultimately identify and pursue talented players. At the same time, players have a responsibility to proactively reach out to the institutions they are interested in attending. The additional support provided by the club is certainly beneficial, and the coaches' connections can help facilitate opportunities throughout the process.

I see the AS MD teams are out.

Lots of M&D on Red, 11.

Followed by 4 MDU, 3 SW 1 HG, 2 M&D Red, 2 CCLax, 1 Crush.

Did the M&D players even go to tryouts? The NGLL championship game was during AS Maryland tryout.

Well look at who's coaching. Plus lot of strong players went to AA this year.

There are some strong players at AA but top to bottom, MD Red is best imo, they also get to be challenged rather than default champions with such poor AA teams.

It’s too bad those two teams can’t play each other somehow

Top SW, HG, and Coppermine players went to AA.
Top M&D and MDU players went to AS.

If there’s a way for someone to make money off of it, then there’s a way for it to happen. lol

If you are saying that’s all based on merit and not phone calls then good for them!

They are a talented team and yes, those girls earned those spots. That said, the AS roster for the 2028s is pretty weak, most of the local 28 talent chose AA. Given how many MDU girls were at AS tryouts, one would expect more girls selected if the program was as tied-in as other programs.

I also noted that trend with the Baltimore 2030s. The best players are doing All-American this year (and not AS).

Yeah I disagree.

“Best” players is subjective obviously, but if you look at the All NGLL team, here is breakdown:

AA 4
MD Red 6
MD Yellow 1

The top two teams in area for 2030 is M&D & MDU

AA 4
MD Red 15
MD Yellow 3

Obviously ton of talent on SW and HG but just curious how you conclude the best went to AA?

The above stats don’t support that.

I gotta note a few of the top players in area are doing neither.

Agreed. We know several top players taking a break from some of these showcases this summer. Not doing either is not at all a make or break. They’re only 14/15yo. MD/DMV lacrosse is so intense that many girls feel they’ve got to do one of these or else their future is bleak 🙄

Any predictions for the summer tournaments? Any teams to breakout vs fall back?
