Downtown Abbey season 4 premiere -- possible spoilers!

Molesley's the best actor on this show. I'm so glad they're incorporating him.

Love Mrs Patmore even more for giving Daisy a Valentine

Mrs Hughes is wonderful. Now that Carson has gotten over Alice, will he and Mrs Hughes get together?

Barrow is awful and creepy

Lady Mary and Lord Grantham are going to be in a power play

There's something not quite right about Edith's publisher. If he breaks her heart I will be devastated

Violet, the dowager Lady Grantham rocks even if she has totally emasculated her son

If Barrow and the new lady's maid try to stitch up Anna, Bransom is going to out the maid

Mosley is good, and I think he'll find a place

Very pleased with first Ep

Okay, back to reality

Good episode! But someone remind me what the deal was with that new maid and Branson. For some reason I don't remember that storyline!

It took me a minute, and then I remembered that she was a house maid and was making the moves on Tom after Sybil died. They kissed, but I don't think anything else happened. She's ambitious. Mrs. Hughes figured out how to get her out and on her way.

Oh yeah thanks! I forgot that. I was thinking she was the maid that has the fling with Lord Crawley but didn't think she looked like that so I was confused.

Publisher dude becoming German is such bad news. Poor Edith!

I'm annoyed by how easily Lord and Lady Grantham believed that Anna was f'ing with the new lady's maid. You would think that after her many years with them, they would be familiar enough with her character to know that it is something that she wouldn't do. They are so naive and snobby.

Barrow got lucky about the nanny and when she proved him right, Lady Grantham found him very credible. When Barrow tried the same thing with Anna, Lady G thought him credible again

I think Violet will have to get involved and set them straight

I know. It's like she takes stupid pills every other day.

Ugh I meant Lord Grantham. I have to get My DA mojo back! Maybe I need to rewatch last season. It has been too long!

So sad when the nanny told Sybil's baby to cry!

Yes, we've recently finished fighting the Germans, and we still all loathe Germans, so I'll just prance off and become a German citizen. Brilliant!

Edith has the WORST taste in men. Let's review: Imposter cousin Patrick; Sir Anthony the Ancient; Future Nazi Michael Married-Man. Oy vey.

Yes but you have to remember that so many men were killed in World War I that the selection of men for women in her generation were slight

My grandmother had 7 aunts who came of age during World War I. Only one married at a time when many women married. Grannie said that they would often refer to their husbands who were killed in France only problem was that they were future husband material, not husbands.

All I have to say is 1922 must have been a really big year for the color purple.

Purple is a light mourning color.
