How is this a “master class”? It sounds like very bad coaching! |
He and Curran are continually two steps ahead |
I don’t believe this at all. How could the best player in all of Virginia, staying in tippy toes at 5’7” not show up against an above average D? There is now way he could ever get shut down! |
Dude you can’t have higher than a 70 IQ😂 |
It sounds like your son may not like lacrosse and didn't win anything. I can assure you my son's team was extremely happy to win regionals, ESPECIALLY the seniors, most of whom won't play organized sports ever again. Also, you know that there is a whole summer between the end of high school and the start of college, right? If your son would rather start bussing tables at Chili's a week earlier instead of spending time with his teammates, that's too bad. Also, what participation trophies? There are no literal trophies, and the "reward" for going through to the next round is busting your butt in practice in VA heat in June and having another hard-fought game, how is that a blue ribbon for everyone? People are just throwing "participation trophy" out mindlessly every time they don't like something about youth sports, it makes zero sense here. |
It was sloppy between the 30s, but both goalies did play very well, FWIW. |
. He was getting limited but dodge tons of times but was shut down by 12 just like last Madison Yorktown game he got shut down |
If the previous write up was accurate- and how Madison played out the end of the game- it was a total failure of coaching, like the last guy said. Or, the players just ignored everything they should have been taught and coach failed in benching them. Did the game play out as was posted? |
If you refer to “two steps ahead” as calling for a stick check on the opposing team when the game is close, then yeah i guess |
He didn’t play up to his usual standard. Missed a few passes that he usually connects on. He also had a goal and four assists facing a shutoff the whole game. |
| Hats off to Madison. It takes a team effort to hold a team that averages 14 gpg to 7 goals. Only 3 teams held them under 11 goals (Madison, Robinson, and Heights). Yorktowns offense isn't given enough credit for the season they are having either. |
. They both stood on their heads… |
I think it gets some credit, but pumping in goals against the likes of Marshall, Wakefield, Herndon, WL times 3 doesn’t move people. |
| Anyone care to take the bait on Thomas Dale getting a spot in the State bracket? |
He's a great player. YT actually had the most success early in the game when Madison was maybe overplaying him a bit, because he was great at finding open guys. |
