Nah, teams like BF have had a good run over the last several years ... YT's coach winning 3 of the past 4 state championships is an excellent run. Fans of other schools dream of such runs.

Langley would have most likely won 4 in a row if it hadn’t been for the canceled COVID season.

"would have" still dreaming....

There is another wave of talented young girls coming up and hope they can find a good replacement. I would imagine those are big shoes to fill.

This is a big loss as she has proven to be one of the best coaches in Northern VA. In the past two years her teams have gone 42-2. Some of those wins are not impressive but over half her wins are over perennial powers
BF - 4x
Dominion - 1x
Langley - 4x
Madison - 4x
Oakton - 3x
Robo - 3x
SL - 1x
WA - 1x
Woodson 3x
Total Wins over VHSL's best - 24

What’s her record over her entire time at YT? Against VHSLs best in the previous years? Anyone can selectively choose a statistical timeframe to make some point. What happened in 2023?

What's your point? She didn't win in 2023? Really? She won the state title in 2022, 2024, and 2025. How many 6A state titles has your coach won recently?

Appears she had a good bunch of players to work with the last 4 years. Not so much the previous years or the other dominant VHSL schools were just better and then their talent dropped off. Good for this coach. Getting out on top.

How does a coach win a state title without a bunch of good players? I would argue that over the last several years, teams like BF and Madison have had great players and they didn't win one state title. Show some respect to a coach that likely beat your team many, many times.

They don’t.

What was her record before 2022?

Didn't answer my question... How many 6A state titles has your coach won recently.... still waiting.

your best argument against YT's coach is she didn't win 4 in a row. that's a good one.

Hey D Bag I was giving her props someone asked what her record was in 2023.

Well Langley won 3 in a row unlike YT completely crushing the competition. And the COVID year was canceled but the next year they crushed all the competition. No one came close to them unlike YT who had a few close games.

+1 but the YT Dad made a claim that no other school has won 3 out of 4 seasons and that simply isn’t true. And the COVID year Langley was just as strong.

Who cares about all of this. Congrats to YT for their state championship and well wishes to the Coach and to wherever she heads next. Private?

Please quote where anyone claimed that "no other school has won 3 out of 4" I don't see it. Merely said that other schools dream of such runs. Never said that 3 championships have never been won before YT.

9-10 in 2023. Wow. What happened? They convincingly won states in 2022 beating Langley in the semi in a very close game and then crushing BF with a running clock in the state final.

Langley didn’t have to dream. It was a reality.
