they were approved long time ago just not publicly announced. GA tried to delay announcements doing maybe 1 a week thinking it was some sort of big deal and everyone would be waiting with breathless excitement as they added low level teams

Like when ECNL added 190 teams in RL?

No actually. Those got added to RL, their second tier league. Just like Aspire, each league has one.

Keep trying to twist points though.

GA volume wise is bigger than ECNL, but still only accounts for 20% of D1 commits, math says it all.

I’m convinced there are people in other countries that are paid to troll and scare parents of joining GA.

I wonder why you all are so worried trying to diminish a league…

Girls ECNL parents have been acting this way for a while. I think it's because ECNL focuses on recruiting over developing players. Since a large number come from smaller clubs parents of players recruited know that elite is just an illusion. If they can convince other parents to accept that ECNL is "better" they've won.

Unfortunately for the ECNL hats GA parents know the game as well are are now pushing against the narrative. This is why there's all the back and forth.

I predict MLSN+GA will win long term if they stick together because boys ECNL is not good.

You're missing the big picture. First, lvu isn't low level. Second, thus maybe the last piece as part of a northeast , mid Atlantic realignment. Right now, bmny/ NJ teams make 3 trips to Boston and 1 to syracuse/ rochester. Many parents complain about the travel, some rather play in rl just due to less travel. If this addition helps realignment which reduces travel it's a huge win. Chess vs checkers

The GA parents on this forum are hilarious. I bet you are all into the UFL (and XFL/USFL in the past) DC team, hahaha hahaha. Probably running around telling everyone that the UFL really develops players better with they're strategic alignment with college football they are on their way to taking over the NFL. Good luck with all that, and the GA crap.

So which top ECNL club does your kid play for?

Or are you the typical ECNL poster that rides on the coat tails of clubs that actually perform?

Yawn. How long did it take you to write something so stupid?

If you weren’t worried about GA, then there wouldn’t be over 200 pages of you trying to explain why ECNL is better.

The fact that this conversation even exists tells me what I need to know.

looks like that strategic partnership with the MLS is really paying off at the adidas cup. They had to put together two ga all star teams because there's no singular team that can compete with the girls European teams. And, the website is only live streaming the boys games, too funny. Pretty clear this whole partnership was to toss bone to league that hasn't turned a profit in it's existence and is headed towards bankruptcy, AGAIN!!!

As A GA parent I will say this, I noticed Ukies 08 had a post for ECNL TX thanking the coaches that attended games, 120 in total. I know that team sucks - bad - and Ds GA team has beaten better teams in that conference. BUT, I don't think they have had 120 coaches in total attend in 4 showcases they've been in. I doubt that 99% of those schools will ultimately recruit one of those Ukies players but it is frustration that low level ECNL teams can draw (maybe they were in attendance for the other team, I don't know) as many as it did over a playoff caliber GA team. Maybe there is a shift over the next few years, maybe not.

this makes no sense - you are ripping that they had to put together two teams because no singular team can complete with the girls European teams, yet both GA teams beat the European teams in the first round? what point are you trying to make?

PP is saying ECNL could bring regular ECNL teams to play against the European clubs while GA needs to form all star teams to be competitive.

That is the point PP is trying to make.

Again without playing games your statement is just a mythical guess.

The ECNL did the same thing for the 2020 ICC Futures - When defending ECNL National Champions PDA Blue got embarrassed by the younger, smaller Barca team from Spain. ECNL had a few regional all star teams that didn't do to hot.

Barcelona won the ICC by dominating PDA.

Manchester City went 0-3 with a -13 goal differential.

PSG last in their group.

Atletico Madrid did not advance.

Why in the hell would any league pick just ONE team to go play in that Adidas cup? They are representing the LEAGUE. Not just one team/club. Would ECNL really do that and piss off all the other top clubs? Perhaps that’s the real difference between the leagues.

The GA games were live streamed on the MLS YouTube channel.
