Does anyone else get the idea that Mrs. Kavanaugh and her friends are some busy bees on these threads?

Because we bring evidence to contradict assertions people are making here?

Has it occurred to you that some people here want to safeguard the seriousness with which women's assault allegations are taken and feel that is undermined by high profile allegations as flimsy as Ford's?

+100
And, as much as some people here hate men, there is this thing called “presumption of innocence.”
Lobbing false or inaccurate allegations at a man who has an exemplary record in treating women with respect and dignity is just wrong.

Exactly. Apparently, the liberal motto is "guilty until proven innocent." Frankly, I'd love to see that applied to their own lives.

Bwahhhhh hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

Oh my lord, if anyone is wondering why the right wingers on here seem so completely, totally, insanely misinformed on this subject, this pp linked the results, she thinks, of a Huffington Post poll - to Update America, a group that suffers from an extreme bias issue https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/american-updater/

Here are the real results, from HuffPo https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/brett-kavanugh-sexual-assault-allegation-public-opinion_us_5ba23ce2e4b013b09780d1b3

Good lord, PP. come out of the snot smeared right wing media pit you’ve been huffing. You need some fresh air.

It's not biased. It's simply a website source you disagree with. The poll stands - only a quarter believe the professor is credible. And why would they? She has no facts and no corroborating evidence,

And please stop with the liberal insults all the time. You just show yourselves up to be angry, nasty, hateful people.

I imagine Mrs. Kavanaugh is busy trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, and that of her girls. Whether this accusation is true or false, I can't even imagine how they're going to move forward with their lives.

Then Brett, knowing what he’s guilty of, should never have grown his hat into the ring. He brought this on his family himself.

Yes, those of us who wanted to safeguard the seriousness of this investigation and the stakes for the nation wanted an FBI investigation done. The Kavanaugh Kheerleading Society had words about that.

And the Kavanaugh Kheerleading Society keeps citing “facts” and “evidence” that are neither. No one trusts you because you guys have been peddling so many horse apples that I kind of suspect, what with Bretty being a local good ol boy and all, that many of these nutty defenders of his - who, again, keep pulling their “facts” from their horse apple machine - maybe have a personally vested interest.

Right now, the facts, as sparse as they are, are on Kavanaugh’s side.

And, it wouldn’t surprise me that those accusing the posters here being related to or friends with Judge Kavanaugh or his family are the same ones who are likely friends with Dr. Ford.
We have learned that the left often accuses the other side of the VERY things they are guilty of.

No, ma’am. And projection has a conservative bias. Like Donald Trump accusing Hillary Clinton of being the Russian puppet even as his son was talking to Putin’s staff.

And the facts aren’t on anyone’s side yet as we haven’t heard from either of them. We’ve had bits and pieces from both, neither under oath. But Judge Kavanaugh has perjured himself and did spend his high school years on up to his mid-30s in a drunken stupor and has said, in his own words, that it’s good that what happens at Georgetown Prep stays at Georgetown Prep. I’ll not get into the boofing, his Terts and Clerts “secret society” at Yale and his obsessive, slobbering interest in Bill Clinton’s penis. So if you’re looking for credibility going into the hearings, the point definitely goes to Dr. Ford.

FACT: The statements provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee by the 4 people who Dr. Ford said were present hold the same weight as a statement under oath. The only person who has not yet issued a statement holding this weight? Dr. Ford.

I believe this very likely is the case here. I have no connection to Dr. Ford whatsoever. I think I am typical of the Ford supporters: women (and the men in their lives who love and care about them) who themselves have been subjected to similar types attacks--perhaps even from Kavanaugh himself. They may be former clerks or associates who are beholden to him to advance their own careers.

OMG. You are truly sickening.

The Huff Post article on its own poll is a mess. It clearly asked those polled whether they found Ford's story credible, but Huff Post did not publish stats on the responses. Instead it gives this write up that it makes it impossible to tell what the actual results were:

"Sixty-two percent of Hillary Clinton voters, compared to 18 percent of non-voters and just 4 percent of Trump voters, say the allegation is credible...Male and female Trump voters both see the accusation against Kavanaugh as lacking credibility and irrelevant to his nomination, but the men are 23 points and 9 points likelier, respectively, to hold those opinions. Across the aisle, male Clinton voters are more likely than female Clinton voters to view the accusation as credible ? the women are no more likely to doubt it, but do more commonly choose not to state an opinion."

Nice way to elude the fact that your sources are bag crap crazy and flat out lying it you. And you’re falling for it and making judgements based upon it. (I don’t read the Huffington Post, by the by, but you claimed that that was where the poll results so flattering to Mr. Kavanaugh came from and not only is that not the actual source, but also that's not what the Huffington Post poll showed at all). Maybe go on an NPR diet for a few months.

1. I did not know about the poll and so was not the PP who made the initial mention.
2. When the Huff Post story was linked I read it.
3. The above is a direct cut and paste from the HP story, so it is odd that you say it is not what the HP poll showed at all.
4. I continue to believe the HP article does a very poor job of reporting on the results of the question it asked those polled with regard to whether they found Ford's allegation credible. One cannot disentangle the write-up to discern the raw results.

+ 1 Sickening is right. Now they're taking a completely unsubstantiated claim and using it to accuse him of more of the same? And these are the people who feel morally superior? Disgusting.

DP. I think they did that deliberately. They know the results of the poll aren't what they had hoped, so they're trying to distract by presenting them in a very unclear and ambiguous way. Idiots.

Yup. And now there's someone upthread who is saying those of us who are not supporting Ford are probably mothers of rapists.

Not what I said. I said that the results in the Update America article wasn’t what the HuffPo article said. I agree that the HuffPo poll results were written absolutely opaquely, but even their gobbledygoop doesn’t sound like anyone likes or trusts Kavanaugh. Except probably white men. Sorry for my unclear writing.p such that you didn’t understand what I wrote.

Who is “he?"

Just reading the threads on DCUM makes this formerly impartial observer definitely lean toward supporting Kavanaugh. Honestly, liberals are once again showing themselves to be vicious to anyone they disagree with - no matter how flimsy the evidence. Their attacks on an innocent person (because last I checked, we are all innocent until proven guilty) are cringe-worthy, to say the least.

He could be any of the GOP Senators on the Judiciary Committee, or Trump or Kavanaugh. Because the fact is, any one of them could demand it.

Mitch McConnell, Hatch, and Graham have spoken publicly that Kavanaugh will be confirmed. That is an unequivocal presumption that Ford is lying or not credible. They have already made up their minds! It is the Kangaroo Court that it is publicly presumptive.
