This is delusional, even setting aside the fact she has no way of knowing who will sit on the panel. |
I still cringe at Wolf Blitzer breathlessly referring to it as the Winter White House. WTF media, stop normalizing and be better. |
Highly unlikely, and further, the way the brief is written, it could make the judges responsible for violating the security concerns around the documents and who has access to them. Trump appointments or not, these individuals will need to be accountable for their decisions and actions. the brief was brilliantly written. |
Yes, it seems from the brief that they don't know where the missing documents are. The same is true of the empty folders with “‘classified’ banners” that were among the seized materials here, see D.E. 39-1: The FBI would be chiefly responsible for investigating what materials may have once been stored in these folders and whether they may have been lost or compromised—steps that, again, may require the use of grand jury subpoenas, search warrants, and other criminal investigative tools and could lead to evidence that would also be highly relevant to advancing the criminal investigation. |
| Did the poster who was sure that the "nuke docs" were about nuclear POWER plants ever come back? Just wondering what their thoughts on this is now. |
The brilliantly written brief does not matter. They know what they are supposed to do. What accountability are you talking about? |
It matters. If Cannon wants to play this game she is going to have to be more explicit. Sunlight and persistence. |
I don't believe that all Trump appointees are his lap dogs and that they took their oath to the Constitution to heart. I guess we won't have to wait too long to find out. |
I don’t either but there are half a dozen of them on the 11th circuit. |
The winter White House moniker predates Trump. MAL was built by Marjorie Merriwetber Post with her cereal money and donated by her to the federal government with the intention that it be used as a kwinter White House for the government to entertain foreign dignataries. It turned out to note really make sense for the federal government so they gave it back to the Post foundation which sold it to Trump long before he had plans to run for Resident. So the whole story is kind of ironic in how it sort of ended up serving the role MMP intended but in a totally backward way. |
Cannon is not immune from complicity for treason. |
Interesting. Thanks for the historical note! |

Another interesting MAL factoid:
As part of the negotiations relating to changes Trump wanted to make at MAL, including adding a 20,000 square foot ballroom, he agreed in 1993 that he wouldn’t reside at the property for more than 21 days a year. Like everything else he hasn’t abided by the residency restriction. Yet Trump and his wife have managed to claim Florida as their residence for voting and tax haven benefits. |
Another factoid: Trump isn’t into following rules; they’re for the little people like taxes. |
Another factoid: Trump is scum. |
