And yet you’re perfectly fine with Donald’s position on race? OK cool. We know now not to give a flying F**k what you think.

And this here epitomizes the D's stance. The poster didn't say anything about liking/agreeing/voting for Trump; just because he/she was turned off by the progressive agenda and haw far it's gone and can't support them anymore, they are called names and written off. Very classy. This is why people are moving away from the left.

Yep. You think I’m the enemy? Fine. I’m the enemy. Voted for Youngkin. Hoping for the best. We’ll see.

It’s very cult like. As long as you’re towing the party line, you’re one of them and awesome and so progressive! The minute you say anything that is even remotely critical of the D’s or any of their policies, you are immediately attacked and written off. It’s kinda scary.

Are you kidding? If Youngkin had denounced Trump or even criticized him in any tiniest way he would have dead to the MAGAs.

Yea, it’s incredibly hilarious to watch republicans project on this. Democrats are literally the opposite of a cult - their biggest problem is that there is massive disagreement w/in the party on many positions. Meanwhile, republicans must all praise dear leader trump. Glenny boy was proud to get the endorsement and literally said he was inspired by trump.

Not a single GD Youngkin supporter can reckon w/ these FACTS. it’s so unbelievably pathetic.

Well I was actually talking about the posters on here, but ok.

Did I say I was okay with his position on race? lol. I never voted for him or any republican so they didn't lose my vote, genius

If you’re voting for Republicans - the party that made its platform “Donald Trump” (literally) - you’re ok w/ their position on race, moron

Do you also say that to the blacks, latinos, and asians who voted Youngkin?

Yes, I do. And if you think it’s impossible for a black person to vote for a candidate who will not act in the best interests of black people generally…you’re not quite understanding reality.

Wait, what positions on race are we talking about here? What are the Republican positions on Asians exactly?

Honest answer: republicans see Asians as a useful tool to dismantle affirmative action.

That’s pretty much it.

'So Democratic politicians may need to decide what they actually think about the ideas that have swept elite cultural institutions in the past few years. Maybe those ideas are worth defending. Maybe Kendi and DiAngelo are worth celebrating. Maybe school superintendents who recommend their work should be praised for doing so.

If so, Democrats should say so, and fight boldly on that line."

BUT it is really disingenous IMO to say its presence is a totally hallucinated concept in schools. AND voters knew that.

Wow. This is spot on.

Once again, we should be holding Rs accountable for their own bad behavior. Not blaming it on the Ds for not correcting the Rs appropriately.

The Rs insisted on using the term CRT even though it was debunked countless times.

The Rs lied about what is being taught - schools were not teaching that "white people are bad" or pushing reverse racism.

And yet you want to put this bad R behavior on the Ds?

Just come out and openly say that you don't want to teach about systemic racism. And you don't want to promote diversity and inclusion. Stop hiding behind the fake "CRT" label.

This is exactly what got Youngkin elected.

What are you referring to exactly? Republicans are against equity being discussed in schools but never articulated why. Can you blame democrats for jumping to the obvious conclusion? If democrats are wrong, Republicans should explain what they mean.

Because the entire notion of “equity” is wrong and counter to American values. It’s “equality” that we hold dear.

Yea, like the time he tried to overturn the free and fair results of the 2020 election bc he lost? That was fine, right?

Right, thank you for proving my point.

No problem! And not to fret- Youngkin’s policies will benefit you and your kids, too.

I like Northam, thought he did a good job with the pandemic and allowing the different regions to handle it how they preferred. Maybe Youngkin will come to his senses and stop being hard right, move back to the center. Hope so.
Anonymous
Remember, anyone with a different political outlook than you is stupid, evil, and bigoted. No one can just think different policies are best for us all. Actually they want to hurt others.
Anonymous
So the Republicans flipped the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the Attorney General, and the House. Next time fellow Dems - listen to the people.

Bigots are bigots.

People who don’t want to use facts or reason to make big decisions? I wouldn’t say “dumb” but maybe “willful ignorance”?

The problem is that 10 or 15% in Fairfax and Loudon who don't like how their local governments acted handed the election to Youngkin.
