I am capable of reading past haters. The 2026 team is one of the best in the nation! They have to be doing something right! |
LOL if you say so. Good luck staying there for HS. |
You seem a little out of the loop if you are asking about open spots when it is almost August and all of the local clubs have had their tryouts. Your assessment of the club might be seen with some rose colored glasses. |

It’s ridiculous to say “ it is almost August so club tryouts are over and teams are full.” August is when club team try outs are supposed to happen - after tournaments are over and girls have no further commitments to a team. The fact that club try outs have been moved to the middle of the summer season is frankly disgusting, showing nothing but crass and mercenary intent. Any club owner or coach who wants to force young girls and their families into committing to a program without allowing them a chance to consider all their options clearly cares far more about themselves and their income stream than about the players. It’s time for parents to push this kind if person OUT of kids’ club lacrosse.

| Regardless of whether or not it is ridiculous, it was the case this year. All of the major clubs have had their tryouts. If you are interested in a specific club, you can email the director to see of there is space on the team and if they are still taking players. The tryout dates have been posted for a while. |
Every club had their tryouts the same week - YJ,CLC,Pride, M&D, Skywalkers and so on. You seem to only have a problem with one club. |
I’m not sure I’d call them “haters” but maybe people who have “been there and done that” sharing their experiences. Good luck to you! |
| So it's been established that tryouts have happened. Change has occurred. Why the secrecy about rosters? Truly trying to understand why when a decision has been made that the team does not openly post the new roster for 2021-2022. Tip toeing around and listening to gossip/speculation is ridiculous. And for the record, the vast majority of teams do this so I'm not targeting anyone specifically. |
| Look to a club who knows how to develop. Look to a club who helps girls navigate the recruiting. Ask around and see if the clubs only focus on the top 6 players and how did they do with the bottom half? Did they help the families and players? Was communication good? Did they send kids to the same camps? You want a program that cares about all its players? Not just mere words but honesty. DC is a small world. Ask around. |
Just because they said yes doesn’t mean they are committed. There is a ton of negotiations going between families and different clubs. |
What negotiations? This isn't NFL free agency. |
This comment shows you are clearly new to lacrosse, especially at the higher level. Initial offers are made after tryouts, however, most clubs, especiall mid-tier clubs hold spots back hoping to grab some girls who are cut from top teams. Also, like airline reservations, most clubs extend more offers than spots, knowing some kids will make a top team. Also, kids who didn't make any of their top choices are also having special tryouts with new clubs. I doubt any girls clubs except MAYBE heros and m&d have anything close to a locked roster at this point. |
To be fair, the Pride 26s just won a national championship. |
Cool story....That's why M&D dominates and dysfunctional clubs like Pride lose. |
