Prince Harry and Prince William could do the exact same thing a day apart and one would be presented as nefarious and the other enlightened


Princess Eugenie and Duchess Meghan attended the same wedding and both wore black dresses. Look at the headline for one versus the other



It's a sustained campaign to ensure the public would hate her.

How is this different from Fergie and Diana? Diana was the golden spouse, Fergie was mocked ruthlessly. Or Margaret and Elizabeth. Or Harry and Will. It’s what the British tabs have always done- compare the heir and spouse to another sibling/spouse and find the other lacking. She was always going to be Kate’s foil. Always. They were always going to be compared. Meghan didn’t make things easier for herself- a good portion of the criticism is racist, but she’s made plenty of boneheaded moves as well. Her best bet was to lay low for several months and learn what it was like to be royal and British.

Publicly and privately both Fergie and Margaret had the support of the Royal Family at home. If you think Fergie was always portrayed negatively, you'd be wrong. In fact the media and aides though Diana was too cold and they made her life miserable.



You think its a coincidence that Fergie's been living with Andrew on the Windsor estates for the past 11 years?
Or that she spends summers with the Queen at Sandringham?
As for Margaret, nothing happened to her.

As for Harry and Will, personally I think Harry's just gotten tired of being Will's whipping boy. Why should he have been ridiculed in the tabloids relentlessly while Will did the same things and went to the same parties?

a Lot of this is her own doing - I think before the wedding people were excited to have a new bride in the royal family- someone who seemed like a breath of fresh air- people started to turn on her after her drama with her dad played out publicly - why can’t she learn to tone down the drama, take things slow, and stop being the victim. She has not endured nearly what Camilla, Fergie or Diana did and they all somehow managed.

And by the way, Fergie is still hated by the royal family - she wasn’t invited to wills wedding.

The drama with her father started well before the wedding. How is she responsible for the capriciousness of a grown man who would rather be paid to tell family drama to the press than be available to walk his own daughter down the aisle?

RE Fergie - yeah, tell me she's hated when she's no longer invited to events with the Queen or allowed to live in massive royal properties rent free.
