This is the list of those arrested in MoCo over the last 30 days on sex offenses. Your statement is FOS. |
No it isn’t. That is what the paper reported. There were 500 rapes in moco last year. |
Yes, it is. This is what is on the Montgomery County police website. https://data.montgomerycountymd.gov/widgets/xhwt-7h2h |
|
Remember there is a difference between arrest data and reports of a crime. Not all reported crimes lead to an arrest.
Here's MCPD's 2018 annual crime report: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/POL/Resources/Files/PDF/PDResources/MCPD_Annual%20Report%20Crime%20Safety_2018.pdf Page 9 shows: 277 forcible rapes reported and then other sex offenses like forcible sodomy and fondling and forcible fondling. The post showing arrests from August are only for rape charges. |
You can thank Kevin for exposing some of the heinous crimes committed in MCPS. His angle THIS TIME was illegal immigration and its effects on Mo Co. If this is too much for you, find another reporter. |
I am the poster who linked the arrests for the past month. Yes, MoCo's site also has crime reports.. My statement was that the list of people were for ARRESTS for the past month. Another poster doubted my information. I stand by it. |
TF. Criticizing #metoo is important to protect it from frivolous accusations and keep it legitimate Criticism is not a bad thing. For example, calling another poster misogynistic, xenophobic, and nasty makes one appear irrational. |

No they are here because counties like MoCo give them sanctuary. That looks like it's worked out terribly for citizens. We would send them to Mexico because it is the current policy to send "asylum seekers" back across the border to Mexico to wait until their immigration hearings are complete. That way they cant travel to MoCo to rape children while their "asylum" cases work their way through the overburdened court system. At least be aware of what's going on before asking stupid questions. |
Agreed. As an MCPS parent, this is important to me. MCPS certainly doesn’t want these crimes publicized. Just like MoCo politicians don’t want these rapes publicized. Someone in the media needs to go against the tide and bring these cases to light. I appreciate Kevin Lewis for doing it. Especially when he risks exposing himself to such hateful comments from the public simply for presenting facts. |
Montgomery county isn’t giving them a sanctuary. Immigration law is federal law. Aren’t you conservatives all about limited government? This is what limited government means. Not doing the feds’ job for them. Montgomery County complies with all federal law. It just doesn’t do more than that. |
BS. For the 100th time, no one is asking MoCo to do the feds job. If they can call ICE on some cases (those deemed serious enough based on unclear criteria), they can call ICE on all cases. There is no law that says it's legal to call in some cases based on made up criteria but not other cases. Elrich is backtracking and trying to have it both ways so that people won't see the stupidity of not working with ICE and not allowing them into the jails. This reporter is doing exactly what he should be in exposing Elrich pandering policies as dangerous. Good for him for presenting the facts of what innocents are dealing with because of this MoCo policy. |
But it does not account for even a small percentage of rapes. Aren’t you more concerned that there are rapes and no arrests... that’s very troubling. |
Oh look! A red herring! |
Elrich taught at Rolling Terrace for 17 years. Here is his bio - https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/exec/bio/marc_elrich.html I think he genuinely cares about people - but to a fault. I imagine that his teaching experiences motivated him to take on a political role. In my experiences, however, a bleeding heart liberal - particularly those I've had as colleagues in the school system - tend to enable and make excuses for people/students. This is what he's doing in his role. Unfortunately, the very people he's trying to protect are those who have been harmed by those beasts. Many are children, mostly Hispanic, who attend MCPS schools. At what point do you stop labeling people under one category, using Identity Politics to protect an entire group, while ignoring the fact that there are bad apples in every culture? Elrich aside, any LEA can contact ICE if there's a question about immigration status. There are no specific rules. But here's the thing. What "unspoken rules" might LEA have to follow regarding racial profiling in this case? In a very liberal area, like Mo Co, I'm sure the PD feel pressure. |
